Some of them are decent, XCL comes to mind. I think eventually they will make porn games amazing, but right now it's really a mixed bag. Sometimes they are fine, sometimes they will haunt your dreams.

AI removes an effort filter. The usual result is low effort in other ways.

This. You definitely could make a decent game using AI generated images, but usually people just make garbage because it's easy.
Just yesterday I played a game that on every image the style and the characteristics of the characters changed. Some people don't even finish the images themselves to better suit the game, just use it as it is.
So to answer: While the game could be good, if it uses AI images I can't help but feel kinda suspicious of it.

Just like anything else, I find that the quality you get out corresponds to the effort put in. There's a few good games currently, and they're all rather high effort.

Usually they look egregiously like AI, the images are low quality that was churned out and slapped together. I don't even like games with CG that much since most of the images feel lifeless, AI CG is that feeling exponentiated

I've never seen any good AI game, only 2 or 3 AI pics and 1.5 sex scenes, can't w8 to see complete/full AAA AI game, ngl with AI generated videos/scenes and real-time-render prompts/inputs, would be great to see something as great as this, censorship sucks btw

I have yet to play a good one, so based on anecdotal evidence, they're not great.
However, I don't think it's the AI art that has been the problem in the games I've played. It seems to be more the case that lazy devs think they can throw some AI-art together with some generic story and become millionaires overnight.

Finished what's available for Mila AI earlier today and I thought it was great it's amazing AI art is that good through the game only really has one route ATM.

For now I dont like them, but there are some that at first glance already look good. And there are even some where artist uses AI for general image and adds some details. There are such games that are already good enough for me. As time goes on there will be even amazing games in the future. So after all i am not against it.

Someone will figure out how AI best fits into the genre. Creating art? Composing dialog? Plotting?

Been seeing a lot of AI games popping up for a while now, never really got into playing any, are they good or should i stay away from them?

Not a fan so far... I feel like they are made backwards... like they get a good image/set of images and then write a game around them instead of writing something good and then making art for it. But I think that it will get better quickly

I think, you'd need an expert in the AI industry to be able to properly assess.

I once said (I think here), that AI is in the "dial up internet" phase of it's life cycle i.e. 90s vs 20s = in 30 years from now, it'll be better than Daz, etc..
BUT...
Some have said that AI is pretty much what it is. It may be tweaked a bit but it'll never come close to human art.

So, it depends, I guess?

Right now, it's alright for me, but it still takes me out of the story when the faces are markedly different from one picture to the next.

And, big bad capitalism might say "Sure the product is 15% of the quality of human made... but it's at 1% of the cost! MAKE IT HAPPEN!"

So... the above is fancy way of saying... It's... alright-ish for me, but not good. As for its future: no clue. Ask someone smarter.

currently im meh about ai games but im sure they will get better. im hoping that some ai art will be used in text based games like trials in tainted space to break up pretty much mostly text that describes characters

I think AI is still pretty new. IMO anything new has some teething issues until they become more mainstream. but i do believe things will get better with AI in the long run
