This. At least make the effort of learning Daz/HS/Koikatsu, or if you really want to tell your story, hire someone to do it for you. The RealPorn stuff is just absolutely pointless.

Generally speaking, they're really not for me. On top of other issues I have with them, the sheer storage space many require is enough to put me off.

Only ever played one, and that was the company, Didn't hate it, it made it work pretty well honestly. It just depends on how the dev can phrase it in a way that makes the real porn work with the game. If possible though, i think it's always better to use some other kind of artwork.

Real porn games are like FMVs for me. A total no go. It's too fixed, it doesn't allow as much choice as in 3d ones. But if you've got enough material, you can have some pretty nice ones either FMVs or real porn games. So, not my cup of tea, but not that bad either I'd say.

It is a bit lazy, but it can be done ok. But too many use it as an excuse to not have any writing. It needs to be an accent to a good text-based game, not the entirety of the pornography.
And another negative, of course, is that using real porn limits the scenarios that one can have. Kind of strange to have two 'sisters' that look nothing alike, some things like body modding are actually impossible, and of course my preferred tag would be illegal.

I don't play these games at all.

Firstly, in 99% of cases, the characters change from one image to the next, and it annoys me to no end.
Secondly, the cinematography (angle, framing, sets, etc.) is that of a movie, not that of a comic book / manga / visual novel.
Lastly, 99% of the actresses are so ugly that I'd rather try to fap to a gore zombie movie - more chances of success than in front of these crones.

I just do not get the interest... watch a movie when you want to see a movie... image paying a game like GTA, RD2R with sequences from movie...

It can work, but it's not easy. You can be pulled out of any immersion if the character changes body shape / hair color / etc.
Maybe with tools like AI generation it'll get easier to be consistent.

I feel for Real Porn games to be good the real porn has to be relevant to the type of game. If it's a more lovey game then the porn should match that. If it is more fucked up, the creator should try and find something as close as they can get to it, while staying within legal limits.

I feel like they can work as long as the author knows what they're doing. One of my favorites is The Company, which is made with real porn images, although the author is slowly transitioning to drawn images which look better tbh.

I think that's the thing. Usually they are rushed and there's just something about drawn or generated images that are specifically for the game and most importantly that the author/designer took time with.
