discussion What are your opinions on games made with real porn?

I personally can't get behind real porn in games.
Devs need to either adjust too much to the porn context or jump between multiple porn scenes to make it work.

I'm fine with using them as place holder while developing however

Total avoid. Have tried a few, have looked into several. All gave the impression of being disjointed and forced. And I think it is hard to avoid that - after all they are almost all made by taking screenshots of porn video clips, and then tryning to write those pics into another story than what they were originally made for. To me that is a recipe for a mess.

Except for a few flash games I played on "freestripgames" at the time , I generally hate them !

I loathe them. Most of the time, they are just bad. If I wanted to watch porn, I'd watch it normally.
Doesn't also feel right knowing the developers are taking real people and inserting them into roles of characters. More so when these games tend to be boring grindfests with images and gifs that don't even have matching people inside them.

It's hit or miss for me. But, most of the time, it's the inconsistencies between the story they are trying to portray and the sometimes random porn selected that keeps me away from them.

I imagine you mean the HTML ones people make. Depends on how much effort they put into them, some can be pretty decent with cool stories, movies and videos tied together "seamlessly", others are just some random ideas thrown around with bits of gifs and videos that turn into a mess.

They've really not inspired enough interest in me to actually try one.

For me, the quality of art is essential, and if you can do it without the generic character look, the better. At the same time, I'm not into the common types of manga/hentai art I see. The Insexual Awakening sequel is an example of where the art kills my interest. Hand-drawn generally makes it more interesting, if done well.

I've played some that I've liked here and there, but as a rule of thumb...no thanks. My real problem is that the story has to be written around the content that's available for that model. So if that model doesn't do anal, for example...then the character can never do anal in the story. The best games have the visuals created to match the story.

I'm a sucker for HTML + Real porn, anything not on HTML like Ren'Py doesn't do anything for me. It comes with a few caveats however.
The writing must be the focus of H-scenes with gifs or pictures complementing the scene, not the other way around. Descriptive writing of characters actions and emotions are key. Actual video clips with audio are a big nono for me, especially the games where the extent of a scene is "you bang" followed by a couple 1-2 minute clips without any supporting text.
There are lazy real porn games, but there are plenty gems out there as well.

Pretty much this. The only one that I enjoyed enough to update was A Spell for All, the rest were IMO pretty meh at best.

Real porn games feel like the caption fetish threads/boards/subreddits. Usually just seem low effort and mid 'story'. I've never seen one I've liked cause the 'real' porn is just a random lewd. IMO it is the same thing when people use established random hentai art and give it subs calling it a game.
At least with SD we'll have some more variety that might actually feel like the images are made for the game.

Idk, if its well made it can be decent, especially if they use the same actress from different videos for different scenes, but that can be hard based on how much content the actress actually has. Atleast if they select scenes where the actress looks roughly similar its okay. When the scenes involve actresses that look absolutely nothing alike it can be kinda weird.

I don't waste my time on those. If I wanted real porn i would just go to a normal porn site to get it. Yay they can clp a video.... What about real artistic ability by making your own images and animations... Ohh wait that's too much work for them. . .

Using real porn images / clips to fill out an interesting story can be good. Mayor of Mount Pleasant, Aphrodesia, and Secret Taboo were okay.
