Graphics man, they're so key now. Didn't use to be the case but some games have just gone to a whole new level and it makes it difficult to want to play the lower quality stuff, even if they have a great story etc

Some things I like having in AVNs:

1) Multiple options/paths to choose from in terms of story direction.

Honestly, this entire post is pretty solid in my view. Things i'd add from top of my head would be that it matters not if its 2D or 3D and that i'd award bonus points for quality animation, though they wouldn't be necessary.

Also not a fan of futa, prefer to be the only dick in the room so to speak.

My top favorite game at the moment is Defending Lydia Collier, which has an interesting who done it story along with each character's individual story line and a variety of branching paths, and a decent amount of kinks that are all optional.

So, I'm curious what do you particularly look for or enjoy in adult games?

I definitely appreciate good renders, but If the storage is garbage and the interests just 'throw' themselves at the protagonist, then i lose interest very quickly. There's a lot of authors who i reckon get major burnout from their projects, who end up just going for cheap rewards just to get it over with.

Don't get me wrong, I hate slow burns, but i hate rushed stories the same.
