YES i love DOL have you played corruption of champions and liliths throne? they're pretty similar and i enjoyed them too

yup i played it too... but well not as much as DoLP. for CoC i played CoCII and for me it just not in my taste especially with their artworks... it is good but not my taste soo it is alright, and for lilith throne... it is also good alright, because lack of features and artworks and the update thing with the dev, but i like some mechanics in it

for me, good text-based (often html) game are DoLP and Transylvania is the top with DoLP is top favorite game
followed by Course of Temptation, Blue Swallow, Female Agents (if not for the dev milking its patreon), X-Change Life, Lilith (Lolilith) Throne, and... more(?) idk, those game that i write are all the one that pretty remarkable to me

I have a love hate relationship with that game: I keep trying to do a perfect harem run, and then I find out a choice I made 20 days prior locked me out...without any chance of reload and retry.... I semi -rage quit and walk away for a couple months.... only to repeat the cycle.

Fetish Locator is an all-timer for me. Played the first part with no expectation then avidly consumed parts 2 and 3 as they came out. Good ass VNs with solid player choice and writing.

Villanova has some pretty sexy models. Really enjoying Kink University (just sucks the update schedule is 4+months apart)

weird rec, but Secret Horse Files for me. not usually into MLP stuff, but that game does simulation really really well, and the characters have little interactions where they get horny or scared when they watch you play with another one

Hero Party Must Fall was a nice surprise. I expected it to be a netorare game and it ended up being a netori game, which is way better. Sadly, every new update is worse than the last, so I'm hoping I find a new favorite soon.

Black Souls (I haven't played 2) is actually a pretty interesting game, one of the rare instances where not engaging in all sorts of depravity actually feels like a better experience.

A bit of weird one, I played HeNTeRia Chronicles 2: Law of the Tribe.
And it's hard to describe but the story actually changed me, it hurt me but I feel it made me a better person.
I can say right off the bat, the guy is a master in storytelling, it was engaging, it felt raw and even "real" as in these characters falling into darkness was natural and heartbreaking.
It was a hard to play to tell the truth since I didn't want to see how things just got worse and worse for the MC but I forced my way to the end because I knew the story would eat at me until I saw it through to closure for the characters.
As for the end, you obviously have choices for an NTR end, a Bad end, a Happy end or the "True End" but even with a good end and a true end, something about the NTR end still left an impact and I genuinely feel like I just watched an amazing story.
I don't want to call it Shakespeare but I mean in the idea that it's like how some movies are "must see" for the "the experience", I say the same with HeNTeRia Chronicles 2. It's a story that should be experienced.

Friends in Need is a game I recently stumbled across which surprised me with how many ways a scene can play out. Most characters have multiple routes and each sex scene has a good amount of variation. I am a bit worried about how well the dev can keep so many alternative choices feel impactful long-term, but for now I like it a lot.

God that sounds like a nightmare, the obsessing part of me would check out very quickly as I can't stand the thought of accidentally missing any content.
It's also pretty fucked up from the developers standpoint because how do you not get lost in that web of code? Id honestly forget about some routes in the long run until someone reminds me that I haven't touched some alt paths in over 7 updates.

Uncanny is a canidate that, for me, falls into your category.
I've only played version 0.1.1, because I want to experience a story in its entirety and not in parts with several months of interruption, but what I can tell so far has thrilled me.
Great start of a story, lovable characters (especially Cora), very good render work (notably the mimic and gestures) and a good graphic quality due to the use of VAM.
All in all, I can hardly wait until it is finished and I hope that it does not change negatively in the points mentioned.
(And hopefully [Goosenards] doesn't decide to end the story with a "Bad Ending"!!!)
