Linux has less users than even Android, and alot of devs won't even mess with that since it's not worth their time. It's why most Android AVNs are 3rd party ports.You might ask well as for the latest DirectX 12 games to also have a DX9 Windows XP version (which will probably never happen). It's why I've never bothered with Linux (or Android), as much as I hate Microsoft most of my Steam library will not run on anything else and I can't really blame devs that don't cater to the 2% that game on Linux or the 10% that are on Android, as I wouldnt't bother either.

I dont think you understand. It is actually MORE WORK to exclude linux than it is to build it.

When you go to build in renpy, PC is default. PC = Windows+Linux
To make a Windows ONLY build, you have to make an additional click (yes, its not MUCH more work, but still, it is an extra step you have to take to actively exclude linux users). I have yet to hear a valid reason as to why you would not do that, since most games I play use the PC version and those work just fine on Windows.

So why would you put in EXTRA effort to exclude possible players who might eventually donate? It costs you nothing, and has a (granted very small) chance to give you more supporters. Who cares how few it is, they are free.

Sorry, the proportion of Linux users is very low and I cannot even test it because I do renderings on PC and work on Mac. I have looked it up and it's about 10% Android, less than 5% Mac, and the rest is PC. The proportion of Linux users is likely to be less than 5%. You understand that many people don't bother to do it because of the effort they have to put in if someone under Linux cannot get it to work.

There is zero changes to the game needed between linux and pc. You not leaving PC (instead of windows) checked is just as braindead as the Zephyr Island dev only distributing linux. A linux user who complains means they arent running any games and can be ignored.

To the linux users, get literally ANY renpy game that works for you and delete its /game folder and move the game folder from this download into it. You dont need to rename the old games launch script as the name of the binary has zero effect on the game being run. There is zero excuse for the stupid behavior of unchecking PC when distributing but thankfully its easily circumventable

I totally agree with what you are saying. Also the MC is a kid who is basically acting like an adult pimp it makes no sense. It's like these are adults transposed into young bodies, but yet given adult-ish features (boobs, bush hair etc..) It's like an AI program made this while trying to include several different genres. Didn't even download it after reading the comments that confirmed what the preview shows.

In my AVN the unapologetic nondisclaimer screen will read something like "While based on a true incest story no one in this AVN is 18, they were created in Daz 2 years ago so are all 2yo. Also while this is made with adults in mind I honestly don't care how old you are if want to play this, since I know you are going to lie about your age anyway if you already went to the trouble of downloading it. I just found out how to rebuild any renpy game to support Linux. Not that I wanna rebuild this one in particular, just saying in principle. That ofc still means I'm not gonna support any developer who makes AVN games for Windows only. It only means I'm gonna be able to play a game the way I want to - natively.

Use the same method I use for making mods for ETS2 (all my mods or reworked mods of other people are Linux-only - no chance to use them on Windows). There are AVN games which support Windows only, so this is our response to that. For the same reason I make my mods for ETS2 to be Linux only - bc some Windows fanboy retards are either too lazy, or illiterate and don't know how to make a graphical mod to be useable in Linux, or in some cases make the mods not useable in Linux out of pure spite. And it's a matter of just clicking one damn option - "Generate mipmaps". So for as long as there are AVN games supporting Windows only and ETS2 mods that work only in Windows, there will be people like us who make their games (and mods) for Linux only.
