Overview:
Wars, natural disasters and man-made catastrophes have brought this world into decline.
People began to divide into different camps: both into good people who fight for their survival, and those who decided to release their inner demons and began to wreak havoc.
Only the communities try to keep the remaining civilized world behind their high and protected walls, but not everything is so simple, because first you have to prove your usefulness by serving in one of the factions
("Fighters", "Botanists", "Lawmen" and "Gifted").
You play as a former fighter of one of these communities.
But, as fate would have it, you caught the death of your wife and, not thinking long enough, went into reclusiveness with your daughter in a secluded cabin outside the walls of the community.
But your plans for a quiet life have to be put on hold, because someone has planted a note at your door.​

English is not my native language, but I spend a lot of time using several translators in order to provide you with the text in good condition.

You play as the Female Protagonist only at the beginning of the game to introduce you to the lore, further on you will play as the male character.

Alright I guess enough people have complained about this that I'll post this one public now:

- Slightly increases the amount of familial references
- MC refers to Daphne as Chloe's mom/mother.

And then because someone asked me to, I took things a bit further too and made another patch...

- Chloe always calls the MC "Dad" (Except when they are intentionally pretending to be not related)
- Tweaks the MC's backstory speeches to remove any reference to the dead mother and makes Ella the MC's real mom, and Catherine his real sister.
- MC always calls Ella "Mom"
- MC refers to Daphne as Chloe's mom/mother.
- Slightly increases the amount of familial references
- Fixes a few minor English issues

Obviously with the second patch making the small backstory change, there is a chance the dev can screw it over in the future if the mom's death becomes actually important, (which is why I was a little hesitant to release it before there was actual sexual content with her.) but so far it really feels like she was just fridged to give the MC's dad an excuse for being an asshole, and I guess to avoid another taboo relationship for Patreon purposes?

To install, choose one version or the other and save it in the "game" subfolder of WastelandGuardians. Make sure it saves with the extension ".rpy" and DOES NOT end in ".txt" otherwise it will not work.
And again, the StepRemover patch already contains the same code as the MoreDad patch, so trying to use both together can potentially result in potential errors, so do not download both without deleting one first.

I did have a few people Beta test these so I'm hoping there won't be errors otherwise (although I made a few changes since then to fix some lines I missed in the freeroams). If you run into anything or see a missed line just message me and let me know.

You play as the female protag just for a bit at the beginning then switch to male protag.

Review:

Fantastic game with a lot of content for a 0.1.

The setting and story is engaging. Granted, it is a quite typical post-apocalypse story, which follows many of the tropes, but it does work very well. The writer is not a native English speaker, there is some Engrish and some typos but it's not distracting.

The game has a male and a female protagonist. You start off playing as the female and towards the end of this 0.1, you switch to the male.

Renders are gorgeous and fit the story very well.

One thing that is not a positive or a negative, but there are a lot of minigames here, and a number of them are timed. This definitely makes the gameplay interesting but it's a bother if you are trying to play one handed.... So far, with minimal sexual or even soft erotic scenes, that's fine but if things will heat up I can see myself getting annoyed by it.

If by content you mean porn, then yes, you are right. I suspect that this is more of a story heavy slow burn kinda game anyway.

But I think for a 0.1 it quite a huge amount of story content. Many games take until 0.5 to reach something similar.

The game is nice so far. Unfortunately I got stuck in the first free room area, where I had to talk to the Queen. She keeps telling me to come back later. The text tells me to talk to everybody else, which I did already. The is no possibility to talk to anyone left. But the Queen still repeats her text.

If you haven't already got past this, there's Shami at the top of the stairs, Valorie in the room with the dog-tags, in the same room as Valorie look for the arrow on the floor lead right to speak to Grant. You should be able to progress then.

yeah they could do with some tweaking or at least a option to skip them
