Doesn't hurt for a game to have one, anybody that doesn't want to use it can turn it off. It pleases both sides.

I always always play it with them. I've been spoiled due to my completionist tendencies regarding mainstream games specially RPGs where I play it w/ a walkthrough/guide on my 2nd monitor. It's good to know what I should be doing correctly. It may seem spoiler-ish to some people, but if it's just hints and such, then great but I don't really mind it.

Depends on the game. If its pretty straight forward i dont see a reason for mods that highlight me the answers i would have picked anyway. But for games with a shitton puzzles or missable sidecontent i prefer an ingame WT mod. Same for games with misleading choices, something like "i love you too" and bam, kicked out of the harem route since harem players dont love their girls...

Unfortunately a lot of porn games are made by people with no experience in real game design so the correct path to take can be extremely difficult to deliberately follow

Depends for me. If the game requires a ton of weird difficult things to do in order to progress or unlock something, then yeah, I'd like some hints at the very least.
But I also like a good challenge if a game is interesting.

i always use a walkthrough if its a mod where i can see what the option does. I don't want a WT mod that just shows the "best" choice with no information.

If there's a walkthrough available, I'll always use it, whether in-game or even just a PDF. I don't play these sorts of games to figure out what the best thing to say or do in certain situations is. And games that have more open exploration can often lead to a feeling of "WTF am I supposed to do?"

A big fat YES, since most people are absolutely incapable of making a game with logical progress and clearly set goals and directions.

It really depends on a situation: some games are made as player-friendly in mind, the gameplay intuitively leads you to the conclusion. And some require certain (or not) amount of dedication and self-investment to progress further, if it doesn't come up with a lot of bugs and gameplay inconsistencies.

Definitely for games like Melody. Shitty ass choices where you have 0 idea what the outcome will be (e.g. choosing from 3 different foods which lead to diff affection changes)

Yes. Drinking makes thinking hard and English is hard to understand when no translation.

Definitely needed, soo much choice of game to played shrink the time to dedicate to the single game, so it's better to see the best route first, and then If in the end you liked the title you could replay to experience more path

i think if it's too convoluted most players will just say fuck it

If the game needs to played with walkthrought it's just a bad game.
But if we are talking generally, why not?
