By “quietly and discreetly,” I meant that, apart from the person reporting the issue and the person handling it, no one else notices how often the same issue is reported until it’s fixed or resolved.
And no one goes through the reports marked as resolved to check whether that was actually the case.
And who really cares if someone complains before the complaints start piling up and the mood threatens to turn sour?
Only then do they pretend to take the objections seriously and make you believe that something is being done to improve the situation.
And even then, only until the storm subsides and everything goes back to the way it always has: not right, but just barely.

“Impeded” (excluded from access to information or content) would be the right term.

The website aims to attract users from all over the world - that is, internationally - and convert them into paying members, thereby building an international community.
Therefore, it should adapt accordingly and strive to offer everyone what they need, rather than favoring one group over another and neglecting the rest.
And as I said before, removing the widget entirely and adding a few more sentences instead would be the solution to pursue this approach.

You can keep repeating your warnings as much as you like, as long as you don’t get annoyed by them yourself at some point.
The fact is, you don’t have to use these hosting providers to create your mirror links, since there are other (secure) alternatives.
You have a whole list of them that you’re free to use; it’s up to you to read through this list and decide which host is the best or most suitable.
Using hosts with known security risks is negligent and cannot be dismissed with the argument that users were warned against using them.

To put it succinctly:
If they don’t even appear in the OP among the download options, no one will be tempted to click on them in the first place.
