I get what you mean. Warnings do help some players, but they can definitely kill immersion if you’re in the flow of the story. Sometimes it feels better to just discover the scene naturally and decide how to react.

This is indeed an unpopular opinion.

That said toggles to just turn stuff off - assuming they are reasonably presented before the actual thing - are probably better. (assuming they are actually respected)

There are things that I find physically revolting and don't want to have on my screen for even a moment.

I kind of like this idea. Not knowing, so it's a different kind of anticipation that builds up while playing the game. Good call.

I agree, i think that the option to turn off those fetishes should be on the Options menu or at the very start of the game

On the other hand, at the download page you can be spoiled by the tags

its fine if its in the beginning of the game warring us but yeah it kills the immersion if displayed in the middle of the scene

People deserve to opt out of things they may not like, especially in lewd scenarios

It is kind of immersion breaking when a warning message pops up during gameplay but fetishes should at least be toggled on or off in the game settings.
