It really depends, and both have their upsides. Some games genuinely have such a galactically ugly MC that it distracts from everything else, to the point where the game isn't even playable. In those cases hiding the face would obviously have been better. It's also somewhat better for immersion, but I do agree it makes some scenes harder to do right, and POV kissing scenes never work as well as they should.

On a mirror, ofcourse. I love it when games first person

If the MC's head is hidden, then all the scenes are POV...
I prefer more variety when the scenes arrive.

I do prefer seeing the face, I do like character build ups so no face kind of messes with that but its not a deal breaker.

I prefer it when the face is buried between some thick thighs. 😏

i prefer when is hidden, easier to put yourself in his place

Im fine with the MC having a face. If the MC is going to have a body it should have a face I can see IMO. I don't like the weird shades over the eyes and bald heads so you can imagine your own face.

i have no problem immersing myself as the main character with or without a face

i don't mind either, for scenes it's usually better to see the face, else the angles are limited.

some games that do such a thing with the hiding can be very creative with their camera angle...... it can be fun 😁 if it is a very large duration game then i think it will get distracting eventually though..... but i always like to see what angle they come up with for such scenes..... it is more disappointing when they hide the face and do not do these creative scenes where they try and hide it personally for myself

Generally I prefer the face hidden, because it keeps them as a "blank slate" for the player.

That said, it's not really a big deal either way.

I prefer when my MC is a actual character in the story, so him having a face is better
