So, there is a harem game called "My Pleasure." It has beautiful art/renders/women in it. BUT, it drags on and on and on! At the end, the central mystery and plot wraps up into a nothing-burger. Many of the characters were likeable and the story was interesting. So, spending time playing the game is not a total waste, but one wants a story climax more than a physical because one can get a physical climax with less effort from ordinary porn.

1. greater variation of stories/settings: this could probably be summarized as better writing but I don't have much of an issue with the level of storytelling, just that there aren't many games that have a premise and make it interesting to dig into
2. less branching choices: I feel this extends dev cycles too often and spreads updates thin of content for some games. I can understand if a dev just wants to make something to be enjoyed but too often they seem to be going into it without taking into account how unwieldy the amount of renders and writing to be done.
3. to pick a standard for graphics: too many games are worried about having better graphics or having perfect scenes after the game has already begun development. I'm content with having an average or rough level of graphics if it means getting more content or waiting less time between updates.

Overall I'd to plan out an interesting concept, write the rough story, and stick with whatever graphical capabilities that are on hand through development. I'm not a game dev though so idk how much of this is useful.
