New status and teaser

TJ CH2 Teaser 8.png

This week, Sylvia stops by to say hello and help me with the status update.

Number, so I had an ok week. I was hoping for a stronger week, but some tech issues had other plans. I lost all the work I did on Saturday this week, and it had to be redone and re-rendered. Not happy about that, but it is what it is. With that said, I completed 73 renders and 1 animation. This brings the total count to 767 renders and 4 animations. I did a quick check, and I have approximately 12 more scenes to render, 5 large scenes, and the rest are mid-size to small. Still a ways to go, and with a holiday coming up this week, I may lose a day or two of render time.

Side projects: Nothing to take up time for a while, so it is full focus on the update.

Personal stuff: Things are a mess here. I might lose power here and there, so the animations I was planning to run this week may have to wait until next week. Animations take me 8-14 hours each, so I have to plan to run them at the right time, or I lose everything.

Not much else I can share at the moment, so bye for now.

Just out of curiosity because I don't really know much about the game development side, but I do know a bit about Daz, do you not render your animations as an image series? I know it adds the extra step to compile into video afterwards but I always saw the benefit of being able to restart the render from the last completed frame, in case of a power failure or PC crash as being worth it.

I did that for the animations in chapter 1 of my first game (The List). It looked horrible, so now I render them as an animation in Daz.

New status and teaser

This week, one of the most unique characters stops by to help me with the status. Omalora is ready to teleport you to the world of The List Saga, but I told her not just yet.

So I had a strong week despite the US Holiday and not feeling well on Sunday. I completed 120 renders and 0 animations. Which brings the total count to 887 renders and 4 animations. In addition to this, I completed all the storyline scenes. I just have 4 special scenes left to render. My goal is to complete 2-3 of those scenes this week, along with the remaining animations needed.

I added a scene to the story this week that I have gone back and forth on for a while. I feel I made the right choice, but I am looking forward to the feedback on that specific scene once the full update is ready. I will also start coding this week as well for the scene I completed and start compiling the additional music needed for chapter 2. It sounds like a lot, but I am excited to start working on it all.

Side projects: If you haven't seen it, check out the July 4th custom render. I felt Freya and Gabi needed some love. Outside of that, it is all-out render work for chapter 2.

Personal stuff: Not much to say other than I am not feeling well, and construction work starts back up this week at the house. God, I can't wait for these projects to wrap up so life can go back to normal here.

I think that is all I have to say this week. Bye for now.
