Overview:
We are in the year 8008 a.P.
The world is changing and it is changing fast. What caused this? We are not quite sure to be honest.
There have been a few weird things that have happened. Shifts in the landscape, storms so hard that buildings couldn’t withstand them.
The Priests tell us that the world we live in will change for the worse.
The doctrine hasn’t changed one bit though. The Prophecy is still intact and the world as we know it will end in 8008 years.
So we almost had 1000 years of living in harmony…

You take on the role of Mikael (name can be changed during the demo) a man who lost his memory and was saved by an old man. During your time with the old man you learn that you've been given a new life.
What will you do with that new life you've been given? Will you use it for the good or the bad?

This is my first solo project. Working on everything myself. Last year I've learned the basics to renpy and now also adding Daz3D to my skillset. As of now, there are no animations planned, I hope one day I can look into that as well.

- second: thanks for sharing your work with us ...
- third: to improve your work, please consider to NOT release your game with the old, bloated and inefficient *.png graphic file format -> better converting them to *.jpg or *.webp - they only take 10-20% of space compared to *.png without losing image quality (if you set the image quality to lossless (100%) - heck even with 90% quali settings there is almost no difference) -> save you space on your drive, time with uploading your work

p.s. I suggest the free software XnView or XnConvert - both very easy to use and multi-lingual ^^

Thank you for your tip, I am aware that png is too big and webp is much smaller. For the future I will convert them, to make the game smaller for now I was working with the png as it is small anyway.

I suspect that meta-data of .png files are a Pen' ta' gon-spyglass. It tells where and when the picture came from, making it easy to find the source...

Rendered images don't contain such data. Meta data depends on the device that created it. Primarily: cameras

For the future I will convert them,

If you want a nice free converter there's XnConvert that can convert files to multiple different formats and you can mass convert the files from one format to a different one very easily. Drag and drop files - select overwrite originals - select output - hit convert - mass edit file format in script file from .png to webp for image names.

I mean, depending on your choices things can be avoided, yes. But not turned off for that matter... choosing the dark path leads to darker methods and all... being a goody good... well the do goody good things.



Also a little preview as I have started the rendering on Chapter 2 today
