Made an incest patch. Superficially ran through the script without delving into the plot.
version: [0.22] will work with future versions. If you spot any lines or a scene that should be changed, let me know, screenshot would help.
feature: Eng only. Changes all conversations/references about the biological father, makes mc the biological father.
pc install: Unzip it into the "game" folder.

notes:
I might have missed something, if you spot any lines with the old or new content that should be changed, let me know(preferably with a description of the scene and line text, a screenshot would also help).
This patch should be compatible with future versions(unless the dev changes the code).

Does this drop the Step canonically or just implement her as an option? From what Newmon says I don't see how anything makes sense unless I'm misunderstanding?

Not sure how good it is, but 'the obvious other site' has a link to a simple unlocker script called unlock_gallery.py that should work with all versions. You can download it from there or create your own with a text editor, copy-pasting the following content:

_unlock_all_scenes()
Then put the file unlock_gallery.py (either created by yourself or extracted from the downloaded ZIP file) into the directory game.

Not only that, but there's around day 35-40 there are already some hints that her biological father will make an appearance.
At least, I was immediately wondering why the society was taking such an interest in her. She's not /that/ remarkable.

It's necessary to most true incest fans, for the simple reason step-garbage doesn't count as incest. It's not the same as blood related for multiple reasons, but the main one is fucking your stepdaughter is no different than just fucking some loli or teen you've known awhile that just happens to live with you = mostly boring. Instead of just a patch if it takes a complete rewrite of the script and dialog that still fits the renders to make it blood related incest then so be it. One mod I came across on F95 handles the bio-dad appearance by simply making him a former foster dad. Until that was released after the bio dad showed up after the OG i-patch was abandoned I simply quit playing it since I don't give 2 shits about vanilla porn stories with none of the kinks I actually want (and never paid money for vanilla and never will, I don't support anyone that uses Patreon at all anymore). Granted such mods are easier to do when the AVN is already finished to avoid curveballs in future updates and possibly having to rewrite the entire script again, so cudos to that mod author. As far as I can tell they do it for free/fun but if anything I'd rather give them a few $ a month in support money since they make like 20-30 AVNs I'd normally ignore interesting.

Still not blood related, and because of that there's no inbred baby risk when playing baby roulette, no legal risk, not nearly as much social risk, etc. In part it's that extra risk that makes incest hot, aside from the act of fucking an actual blood relative and doing something just because everyone else tells you not to (that act of rebellion is also what makes it hot). It's like to an exhibitionist stepcest is like having sex in public during a Covid lockdown (while the whole city is a ghost town) so almost no risk of getting caught so kinda pointless. I don't know a better way to convey how stepcest is shit and people should just quit making it altogether if they are not going to 100% commit to legit incest. It just annoys the fuck out of me when it clutters up search results with clickbait fake incest, with also some good ones also titled as stepcrap to circumvent word filters so prude sites like Pornhub and Xvideos will host it. For a bit of background for me my incest fetish kinda came after me and my sis got together and kinda blossomed from there rather than us having a fetish and then hooking up because if it. Sibling incest is already legal here and me and my sis's doctors were certainly against us having kids (they were relieved to hear she got her tubes tied after the 6th). Somehow I don't think the medical community will be supporting it anytime soon, certainly not before crispr is ready for prime time as a fix for if/when things go south. Would it be less hot if that already existed? Not sure. Prob not, since we still fuck sometimes even though she's been fixed for several years now so can't have more anyway.

Yeah, grass is always greener on the other side. I've been working on an AVN on and off the past couple years based on us (no ETA, still prob years away due to lack of time more often than not, at least in considerable chunks long enough to focus on it for more than a hour or so, as otherwise it's shit when I don't get a chance for any "zen moments"). Lets just say it's not been all fluffy bunnies, butterflies and rainbows and makes for a more realistic story than the usual sometimes comedy-level silliness or over the limits of credibility you tend to find in just about every incest AVN thus far (which is to be expected when most writers either use the usual tropes or have to guess at it rather than recalling from experience).

Yeah, that makes sense. Every relationship needs effort, even without the added societal pressures and prejudices. I imagine that even when it's legal, plenty of people turn their nose.
Personally, I don't care what people do or how they do it... Though the why is often fascinating.

As far as AVN go, I do prefer those with a more realistic take on things. I like it when characters are struggling to overcome problems, to see them grow. The whole "because big dick" or "because boobs" just doesn't have the same effect as seeing two people be intimate after going through hell.
I'd love to play your story someday.
