I've got version 11 in front of me now (the last one that was made before the Westy situation happened and he took time off and came back with version 12 that had all the added content and required you to restart the game) and literally just got done playing the the final game a little over a week ago. All the girls look exactly the same in both. Unless you only played like the very first couple of releases or something, I don't know what to tell you. So unless there's some incredibly early version with barely any content that has old renders where they look different from both the pre-and-post revamp, I'm thinking you may just be misremembering things.

You not being able to load your your save file from the older version is normal, though. The revamp required a new game be made, for whatever coding reasons.

Nonetheless, the game is not the version you previously played. I always knew it, but no one believed me

Yeah, I did the same thing as you just before the sequel's first release. I had initially played up some point during the Australia vacation when it was a current update, and then didn't play any of it again until it was complete, and started from the beginning, as I said, just before the sequel saw it's first release a few months ago, and I had a similar opinion on it. The lewd stuff is all pretty fantastic, but I found the story to get really frustrating at times, especially because of the reliance on connections between the other games (which thankfully he has said will not be the case in the sequel). I also really disliked the fact that so many of the choices - specifically ones that explicitly told you they were meaningful/would affect the future/etc - ended up being entirely irrelevant. And yeah, I made the mistake of enabling the Meta again when I went back into it, forgetting how overlong and pointless it always is (while not adding to the story nor having any lewd content whatsoever) and definitely regretted it. Every time I heard that damn Friend's theme I let out an audible groan and just started spamming my clicks to get through (after rolling back to get that damn music to stop playing) to something actually important again.

I hope that the sequel can continue with the good parts from this game while leaving out some of the weaker parts of if, and hopefully doesn't wait too long to wrap up the dangling story threads leftover before focusing on the new story, and hopefully having it be more streamlined and straightforward.

Is that version 11? Because that's the version I said looked exactly the same to me. I also was referring to the *lolis* which are what the dude was complaining about at the time, not Erika no longer looking constipated in one scene (I assume that's supposed be her afraid, and that's supposed to be the fear route, which would be why I wouldn't have even seen that scene in the first place, but whatever). If this is from an earlier version, then my point still stands, and even if it's not, the dude was literally talking about the lolis being "smoller" and I went to check the oldest pre-remake version I had, which was version 11, as I literally stated in my post, and found the girls to all look exactly the same, and he confirmed the last version he had played was in like 2021. I don't know if the renders for the rest of the girls are substantially different from versions that far back, but coming in and getting hostile with me over something I said months ago (while quoting the wrong post for some reason) and was very much not incorrect in my specific statement at the time is really strange dude.

none of the art was changed till v.12R. nearly every imaged that were made in v0.1-0.6 were remade and a fair amount more content was added for 0.12R (which was used through Final).

Pretty sure i never used it on The Guardian, since....i dont have a life and got all scence ingame anyway. You DONT have to use tools like this tho.

You can watch the replays in...Love/Neutral/Fear mode anyway..... one of the reason i actually did a "fear" run.......not my cup of tea.

I forget what it was called but I played another game by this dev where the MC was a murderous recluse living in the mountains or something with his traumatised daughter he turned into a psycho fucktoy.
Dude even had a sex torture dungeon and the "good" choices did little to mitigate the great evil the MC was all about.

What's the tone of this game and how fucking evil is the MC on the "love" path? Thanks for any answers because that game I mentioned wasn't for me.

It's probably the least dark of the Seath's games but it is still pretty much controversial. You can avoid the violence to the girls but the general mood of the game is quite sad especially towards the end. Markus (the protagonist) is a professional killer, but he is probably the least fucked up of all the Blackheart Games MCs. The plot is very much a mess of different plot lines intertwined with other games of this Dev.

Generally, the family story with lolies is quite mild and well written (if not completely vanilla), but unfortunately it is diluted with heaps of other garbage writing pretending to be a thriller.

Despite of that it is still one of the big loli genre classics out here.

Marshal isn't murderous. he hates killing and only does so when it's necessary.

Yeah, some scenes actually DO change alot, when compared from Love and Dark. I was kinda surprised when i replayed scenes in the gallery in Dark mode...

Oh, you dont have to do that! No need to replay the whole game. Just go to the Gallery and choose to replay scenes in Dark/neutral/love route. Thats pretty much what i did to see the differences.

It does affect the story in some ways but not in a way where you have different paths with specific content for each one of them. Story is 95% identical. It's mostly changes about mc behavior and how some characters perceive you, on top of some subtle changes during scenes.
