This game... I was a real DC apologist at first. I'd hang out in his drawing streams, commiserate with the coding headaches, try and calm folks down between updates....

But now?

Between the patreon re-write and the PAINFUL delays I'm just.... kinda done. I figure I'll pick it up whenever it gets a FINAL.REALLY.FOR-REAL-THIS-TIME.0 release and hope someone takes up the mantel of doing a story re-write to fit the old plot but until then?

Meh.

The best possible scenario for me is for them to do a 'Milf City'. They're going to come out with a big update that's going to give a lot of characters an ending, but every story will be totally botched.

It's less about the new content for me, it's more that it's taken years to do this update which on the front end boils down to making the game widescreen and still barely has any of the original content in the new version.

Loved the original, currently playing the remade version. Hopefully things develop faster in terms of production but there's plenty more to play until then.

IT feels like the game has been in development forever. There's too much content to replay for those that played it before to get to the new content I think. Maybe some way to streamline?

This would easily be one of my favorite games of all time, if not for the seemingly endless limbo that development has been trapped in for the past few years. I want to believe it'll be done someday, but I'm not sure I can muster up enough optimism for that.

Incest Patch wip.6011 also includes Pretech version (Before the Remake) Made By Ser Maggot

This is a patch that reverts back the relationship of the characters to how it was before the change in Patreon policy.



Why use this patch?
Much more comprehensive list of changes to dialogue. I checked almost every line of dialogue and made sure it flowed correctly. This is not just a simple name change for the characters, but whole blocks of lines are back to their 14.5 version of the game (the last version that has incest). New dialogue written for this tech update also were taken into consideration since DarkCookie is adding new story beats. I'll try to make the dialogue conform to their familial relationship as much as possible. I also modified the art asset to fit the new widescreen resolution of the game, and will continue doing so as needed.


What about other incest patches out there?
Old Incest Patch (0.20.12) outdated and shouldn't be used. Lots of text bugs and not made for the latest pre-tech version.

Additional Lines Incest Mod is not compatible with my patch. It hasn't been updated in a while and all the changes that patch offers is also included in my patch.

Relation Tweaker Mod is not compatible with my patch. However, I recommend using this one instead if you want to customize the relationship between characters. This patch allows step relations or mixed step/incest relations. It works with the new tech update only.

Relation Tweaker Lewd+ is standalone and should work with any incest patch/mod. It works with the new tech update only.

Installation:
Pick only one ipatch file!

ipatch 0.20.16.rpa = Summertime Saga 0.20.16 (Pre-Tech Version)

ipatch (tech update).rpa = Summertime Saga WIP (5091 and higher)

Place the RPA file on the game folder.

imo, january is optimistic to have all content back...
prediction : it's going to be added piecemeal, but never entirely, and then by june 2025 they'll find a new big thing to work on, abandoning old content that wasn't reimplemented yet, and then because the new big thing is new and big, you won't see another update for 6 months

yes, I am the umpteenth guy salty about this game
