Don't have facebook, but I learned something today. It seems like a contrived way to go about things but I guess it makes as much sense as pizza or that spiral triangle thing that I saw as a warning sign / bird whistle a while back. That warning must have caught a lot of people off guard when they were just searching for recipes though.

ive seen this posted a lot, its strange

Yes, social media has become a drug for many, one wonders how humanity will survive this.

In support of social media, it serves a useful purpose in soaking up all the plebs and keeping them mostly in a few places.

I don't really have social media; no X/Twitter or Facebook. I also basically never use my phone, so none of those apps either. I'm still pretty miserable LOL so not sure how much your original statement holds true for me.

But I suppose it could always be worse! Anytime somebody comes off of Twitter and they've talked to me, their reaction is never 'Wow, I'm so glad I spent an hour scrolling Twitter!', it's usually the polar opposite.

I'm kinda private person,
never got into any of social media, I don't think everybody need to know everything about me.
The closest thing to any Social Media for me is this site.

I recently deleted all my social media and now it's going really well for me

Have never had any interest in any of the social media out there and, therefore, have stayed away. Yes, it can provide a way to get a message out there to many people quickly or be used for other positive things, but unfortunately it is too often used for misinformation, bullying, etc. which really benefits no one, only causes problems.

Have you ever noticed how social media can make you feel both connected and disconnected at the same time? On one hand, it’s amazing how we can instantly see what’s going on in our friends’ lives, but do you ever feel like constant comparison creeps in? Do you think social media helps us build authentic relationships, or does it push us to curate idealized versions of ourselves? I’d love to hear how you manage your own relationship with social media—has it been more positive or negative for you?

It has it's upsides and downsides. While it can be fun to socialize with people you don't even know, those same people can also wreck havoc on your mental heath.
