I actually like the background music, does become white noise after some time. but complete silence doesnt work for me.

I always play on mute, so have no care if they do or don't. Usually if they do it's something annoying anyway, though.

So something that has come to my attention, games sometimes have music. This often doesn't and at other times does fit the mood of the game.

I am curious to hear what other people have to say about music in games?

I would love to get your opinions why or why not in your posts below the poll!
Depends on the game for me. Eternum has some pretty good tracks that pair well with the game experience

For me, every good game should have good music.

Only when it makes sense

I enjoy subtle background music, the kind you notice at the start of the game but it slowly fades away and you only realise it was there when it stops.

personally i see it as a bonus, if its good and fit the scene hooray, if not i would mute the music thats all,

For me no I don't mind sound

Not necessarily, only when the music is not too intrusive and annoying.

Most definitely should have music. It's a multimedia for a reason

Yes, it can really help set the tone of a scene.

music and sounds are fine the problem is that they start off at 100% not like 25% or 50% like they should be

A good soundtrack will make an A- game into an S tier.

Music should stay in the corner, not the spotlight. More like lounge stuff.

I think that most of the time music is misused in games by just looping it all the time, making me prejudiced against it and then muting it as soon as I open a game. But I think that if the music matches the theme of the game and is placed at the right times, it can really enhance the game.

Yes its a huge plus for me It adds to the experience, i mean look at Eternum. But sadly very few games have good music.

Usually the music is bad and makes it worse, but when its used well its a boon.
