Yeah, I have long had to accept I can't do sandbox games. The entire format screws with the continuity of a story too much for my tastes.

Not really, it's mostly tolerable and grinding isn't too annoying. The sandbox gameplay isn't tedious and somewhat enjoyable, with the interactions and encounters.

Very easy to overcome, the biggest issue is money and it's not even a challenge to break the system without any tools.

Play the Card Game multiple times and save scumming it.

biggest issue is wasting your time because sandbox, so cheating in infinite mental charges or whatever is helpful.

The 'days of the week' mechanic is miserable in any game that does it because you have to keep sleeping to advance a storyline because it can only happen at 7:05pm on a sunday with a full moon. ain't nobody got time for that.

Play the Card Game multiple times and save scumming it.

It's really easy:
1-bet everything you have or 5k, whatever is higher.
2-make a new safe once the card game starts.
3- hit until you lose.
4-load the safe.
5- hit "stand"
6-Profit!
7-got to step 1.

Once you have 5k, you can make 5k every 10-20 seconds doing this.

I have done this in so many games lol. Any game that gives you an alternate "gambling" game to earn money. Just save scum it, and save yourself a bunch of tedious grinding

Also, around mid game, if you're tired playing the card game you can get a job to earn money.

For passive income, one of your harem girls can be assigned to earn money for you as an alternate option between earning XP for you.
