Maybe I just suck at this, but I couldn't win any fights. I would swing my axe and nothing would happen, then I would get yeeted across the arena.

That can be a bit trickier, it has delay until impact with small hit range, but gains most bonuses from atk upgrades and bonus to magic def.

Pre-casting it before touching skin or getting the opponent to a corner work (if it is favorable matchup) should work most of the time.

pretty simple and basic game. ai cg is okay, no animation, only a boat load of similar stills.
