It's a bit softer, kind of. Basically, there's this girl that's very tall compared to her other classmates and envy their cuteness. She ends up creating a new character (named Llenn) in the game Gun Gale Online, which is an action shooter that seems a bit too intense to her, but she ends up with a randomly generated character that is very tiny and cute, so she checks it out. She finds her place in the game, and starts learning that a fast and small character is pretty good, as players really struggle to hit her. After finding her place, and meeting some other players, the anime mostly follows some tournament inside the virtual game, where she meets some enemies and some rivals. There is a thing that increases the drama and risk (SAO style, but kind of milder), but mentioning exactly what it is would kind of spoil things.
I haven't really taken notice of any of those before while looking through this year's seasons, but they all look cute, thanks for the recommendations!

Watched all of these when they aired. Fluffy Paradise is enjoyable but fairly generic. Archdemon's Dilemma was wholesome and funny. Weakest Tamer is top tier and it baffles me people don't talk about it more. Just be ready for some feels with that one. Raising Kids is the definition of isekai trash, but that's my genre so I watched the whole thing. For the current season;
- Magilumiere Co. Ltd. is a magical girl comedy so expect a mix of wholesome and action.
- A Story of a Girl that was Unable to Become a Mage or Mahonare has a very cutesy drawn with crayons art style and is a magical girl school series so probably exactly what @fyl3toys and @CucumberUser are looking for.
- If My Wife Becomes an Elementary School Student is a non-ecchi romcom featuring a 10 year old, so you can bet there's going to be some cutesy and wholesome elements.
- Acro Trip has a derpy villain bumbling his way into recruiting a magical girl obsessed otaku into helping him. Think Gushing Over Magical Girls minus all the mature elements.
- Lastly, if you don't mind Chinese series, A Herbivorous Dragon of 5,000 Years Gets Unfairly Villainized is exactly what the title says. A dragon is assumed to be evil and gets dragged into a bunch of dangerous situations and drama by the absurdly powerful orphan girl he's decided to humor by pretending to be the villain she was told he is.

For the current season I'm gonna recommend
2nd episode released today and I'm feeling the cute and wholesome vibes with this one. Looking forward to it.
