I really prefer regular small updates to waiting more than a year for a larger one. Then I can chose myself if I want to download and play again now or wait until more content has built up over several updates. I remember waiting for almost two years for the Light of my Life update and when it came out it not only took the story in a direction I didn't really like but it also did not have a scene that had been foreshadowed and that I was expecting so I was very disappointed.

i can totally understand that.
Oh, I meant this update was longer than a lot of MY other updates lol

If you didn't start with arc 1, and started with arc 2, then yeah...it will be kinda short.
If you DID start with arc 1, and played through to arc 2 current public version, then its not short by any means.
arc 1+arc 2 is 4-5 hoursof play time if you read everything and a decent pace. if that's short, Idk what to tell you.
Updates are always 8-0 scenes long and this update was announced on my SS at the beginning of last month that it was a story update.

It's good that the Dev updates it often. If the story itself wasn't so dragging and more attention was paid to the development of relationships with the LIs, this would be very good release circle.

I'm wary of spoilers so I'm not going throught all the thread. Can I finish arc 1 as it is and start arc2 or is there a drop in point to get che timeline right?

Arc 1 is completed. It's not a prequel, because it was completed first. Arc 2 is just, well, the second arc. Note that the download is literally labeled "Arc 1 Finale".
