the dev posted in november on patreon and said that version 8 is 90% complete.

He also promised that chapter 8 and 9 would be released last year

Well I submitted two updates for various games this week already.

We need more up-loaders or that auto-bot which isn't operational yet.

As for estimated dates they are usually just estimates and not exact dates.

One update a year is common. It's about making money. I suspect devs work many games under different names. One update a year to keep patreons around.

number of subs, payment they make each month (not per update, per month) (other site is $10.00 per update)
$35 x 3 = $105.00
$20 x 25 = $500.00
$10 x 31 = $310.00
$5 x 227 = $1,135.00

per month on one payment site = $2,095.00
one update per 12 to 18 months, intentionally dragging out the game is extremely lucrative !

how many other sites are they on where they get paid ? (+ $6,191/month on patreon) including there other 12 to 18 month updated game...

Or WVM. BrainDrop is just as bad with milking his patrons as anyone else. The Ballad of Braindrop is an exhausting read of all his excuses over the years which have led to continual delays ad-infinitum.

It's unfortunate the success of many AVNs directly leads to their downfall when the developers decide to go full-on Milk Mode.

Gotta agree on this. Radiant devs have been milking this game for ages now. But I mean, if people keep giving them money for absolutely no content, then can you really blame them? At this point they're just being enabled.

For me it's not even that Brooke sucks but when there is one update every 2 years i would expect new scenes for the main 3 girls. It's just sad what this could be.

Honestly a few of these devs are genius. Take 3-6 months making/writing content, another 2-4 months rendering/re-rendering and piecing it together, up to 4 months of a holiday, then release yearly update, repeat.

The content brings interest on its own, the wait brings anticipation which makes the fan base split between fan and fanatic, fans play and spread word while fanatics sub and defend to the death, then when the dev delivers on the yearly update it resets the "updates take too long" timer. Honestly this is a cheat code lol, keeping loli content out just means he can do this for a lot longer without legal worries. (Why kill the cash cow?)

Pretty soon a yearly update (if that )will be the standard for devs, at least with games like Radiant and Eternum it's a decent update every time.
