wow thanks, Now I just won't bother; I guess this is no better than being abandoned unless a lot more sex is added by 2040. If it gets delayed 20 more years, it'll match my graphics card

It's a bit like going to a restaurant and ordering a burger, and you wait for six hours while the waiter tells you "just a couple minutes" every quarter hour. When the burger finally comes out you're thinking it better be the most orgasmic patty of your life- you've waited six hours for it. When you bite in and it's pretty solid but nothing exceptional, you're gonna be a little annoyed. Sure, the burger's not bad. But it's not good enough to justify taking six hours to get it to you. And it's all the worse when you were continually told the burger was almost done (not "we screwed up, the burger won't be done for another six hours, we're very sorry), and the restaurant staff act like there's nothing wrong with the wait.

How does Multi-quote work? I didn't see the other post I replied to till after. Most comments here are spam so from what Kavinsky said they will get wiped unless that only applies to forced Mod posts?
Edit: Tried to edit but a hyphen deleted a lot of text. Is multi used instead of trying to double up on the reply button and if so why not make it one button?

You feel their rage lacks purpose — unlike the anger of Fredrick the 9th, who used his fury to fuel his ambition to wrest Prague from the clutches of the Turkish hordes. And I agree: when anger isn’t harnessed in pursuit of a goal, it becomes impotent and futile — much like Fredrick the 9th’s ill-fated four-day siege of Castle Vladistak, where his supply lines were cut off by the blockade of ships commandeered by the Turkick Laujacks during their Mediterranean conquests the previous season.
Sure, Fredrick was angry — but what good did it do him? His Gaelic mercenaries abandoned his cause to forage in the nearby forests, driven by their own furious hunger. Yet even their desperation served them poorly: they mistakenly consumed the Caephdalia Astrigiatus mushrooms native to the woods around Castle Vladistak. These fungi bear a striking resemblance to the harmless and edible chicken of the forest, but in their rage and carelessness, they spitefully ate the poisonous variety — and paid a terrible price, succumbing to sickness and infertility.
What I’m getting at here is this: anger is a black, creeping thing. It is neither friend nor foe. This analogy should only be for people who are contributing monetarily to this project.
For people like me (who I imagine are the majority), I'm willing to wait because I have no real stake in this aside from having invested time reading and enjoying it for free, with the full freedom to look at any other project around.
A more apt service analogy would be that of a buffet, where you have so many choices to pick from, and you find that one food you really enjoy, but for some reason it doesn't refill quite as quickly as the lesser quality choices. While it may be disappointing to not get that exact thing you like, you have options that'll probably keep you satiated despite not having the perfect blend of rape and incest in it.
I'm ignoring the monetary aspect of the analogy because I can't and am not being paid enough to think of a parallel for a free versus paid buffet, but you get the idea.
TL;DR, I haven't played this update yet, but even if I found it wasn't much of anything that was added, I'd probably be fine because it's a real pick of the litter compared to a lot of recent projects.

Then I guess I'll just come back in 10 years when it's either finished or abandoned and pay that $20-30 once. Apparently the dev never had a lemonade stand and learned the more you charge the less it sells.

Lol, the dev doesn't owe anybody shit, wether you spent money or not. Any money that was spent was a DONATION not an investment. You guys donated money to dev to support him not to create a game that he can sell and you can make money back. Next time think before you decide give money away to a person you don't know who may or may not fulfill their promises stop and think about if you really believe that person is trustworthy and will deliver.

Updates a bit time consuming but an amazing game, probably only one person who has other obligations so it's quite understandable.

chapter 7 true edition folders are empty. Do you even need to re-apply the new patch?
