Overview:

Hello, everyone. I'm posting this game from a new account for anonymity, hope you don't mind. I present you a Godot fan-remake of developed over the course of roughly 8 months. This was a huge ordeal, but also an interesting learning experience, since I am a total newbie as a game dev. During the development of this game, I studied coding and gaming architecture, UI design and some game design as well, so I hope it all resulted in a solid experience.

This version of the game has two modes: Legacy and Remastered, with the latter containing gameplay fixes and balance changes I implemented, cut content mostly enabled (in particular, the forest became a much more dangerous place) and additional content by me. I've added custom gameovers, experimental and rudimentary pregnancy, several easter eggs. All the menus now have their own GUI, which, I hope, you will find a lot more comfortable and easy to use. Several mechanics were reworked so they fibally became viable (farming, at least for me, was completely broken in the original).

Not all is perfect. This is actually a very big game, so it needs an extensive testing, which I could not make on my own. So expect some bugs and post them here if you find them. I can't promise that I will fix them ASAP, since I really need to rest. But I will try my best to adress and fix them in the nearest future.

As for the future of the project, I would probably need a green light from the original dev, since it is their original idea and work. But they seem to be inactive at the moment. And I'm also not comfortable continuing to use assets that are essentially borrowed. If I decide to accept donations towards this project, I see this as something to consider.

If I were to continue on my own, then I would probably make a completely new game, perhaps even without NSFW content (either it being completely optional or in a separate add-on). That's mostly because I liked the original game for it's atmosphere and sandbox elements, that's why I decided to remake it in the first place. In the remake NSFW content can be turned off with a tick of a button as a test feature to see if the game can stand on it's own without porn conten. I'm sure this will be an unpopular opinion, considering the basis of the game)) That's how I see it. It also opens up a much easier way to make the new project commercial, something I also have in my mind.

For now I will adress it's current bugs and make a new version, for sure. If Strobilus comes back online, I would love to discuss the future of both of our projects as well and continue the work. As of now, I'm eagerly awaiting your feedback. Thank you for your attention.

To OG Dev, Strobilus. I commend your very hard work. And I really enjoyed the experience, even though it was bug-ridden due to the complications of the original engine.

This is a fan remake of by in the Godot engine with a ton of QoL improvements, bug fixes, and a lot of added content, either restored from the cut original content or completely new. At the start of the new game, you can choose either the Legacy version (with original game logic and no additional content, essentially the original game with QoL improvements) or the Remastered version (with tweaked game logic, cut and additional content and a lot more).
