OK, if I am downloading from scratch, what do I need to download? I see a chpt 1-2, a version 0.7 and I guess a version 0.8. Do I download all of them?

Chapter 3 will have several more updates, but it will be the final Chapter.

Sheesh that was a content dump of an update. Honestly...thought the 2 virgin popping scenes were super mediocre. After all this time to have Kenedy's be some throwaway scene where you are supposed to be looking for his daughter and ...well daughter baby all because she wants some game system? Also the same scene for both high and low depravity.
And Rachel's is even worse imo, both high and low depravity are again the same...and she fucks you in some club bathroom? Seriously after everything she has done so far and said she didnt want to do...the bathroom is where she decides to do it?
Outside of just the scenes being super disappointing imo, fact that everything is nearly the exact same outside of tiny dialog changes between the depravity is very disappointing.
Really enjoyed the first 2 chapters, pretty let down by this one.

Guys, I know I asked this before, but now I replayed Chapter 7 in order to better flow into the new update and still I get into this ambiguous situation. Can you confirm it?
When Gwen arrives in the house there is a build up with Annie implying that the MC is planning something with her and Gwen.
He tells Annie to meet him at 10 PM (I think it is Saturday night) in a spare room. Then he does various activities, finally having some fun with Rachel. Then he hears Annie's voice from behind the door reminding him about the meeting at 10, hurries there and... nothing happes. He just wakes up next day.
If I remember correctly (or maybe not) in my previous walkthrough I was given the choice to fuck Kennedy or go meet Annie. But the result in both cases was the same, the MC just wakes up next day. No action with Annie and Gwen is shown that night.
WTF is that? Do I miss some scene at 10 PM with Annie due to some ambiguous choices or this scene simply doesn't exist and it is one of the examples of how poor is the Dev's planning of the plot?
I know there is a scene with the MC fucking Annie with Gwen first sleeping and later blindfolded. But this scene happens next day and seems unrelated to all this "10 PM" buildup.
This is just one of the examples of how inconsistent the plot in Seath's games is, but for me so far it is one of the most disappointing. What was all this hype with Annie and Gwen for?

The op says this is a remake/reimagine of the original game? So what is the difference between the two? Is there any reason to find the old version and play it too?

AFAIK, that is a completely different game from a different Dev. Seath took only the main idea.

I thought both of those were more than fine, and quite fitting.
The dialogue consideration keeping track of characters and choices has been pretty consistent and handled well.
The only real logic error that stood out was Ryona being present for a bathroom scene regardless of prior choices.
You aren't going to get a completely different script for a different levels of depravity. It isn't feasible to make something like that cohesive and consistent. I doubt you'd want extra month(s) of waiting added to releases either.
The only writing and script flaw was the "I have something big to reveal, but I'm not going to tell you" being presented as dialogue between characters. There is a reason it's heavily frowned upon in storytelling. Transition it to an inner monologue or an earlier termination and it's fine, but currently as is it sounds like it was an elementary student's doing.

I should have known better than to get my hopes up for an ending of his games. Thats on me really.How is it possible that every update ruins the VN more & more?? - Oh wait. It's Seath's game. Never mind.
