Alc or weed?

The question was very plain and straightforward genius. Drugs or alcohol….. I answered said question as it was asked. Perhaps you smoked too much of something and did not understand the question as it was asked? I don’t give a flying fart about the “semantics“ of the question. I answered it as plainly as it was asked. Sigh….. Some people.
Jesus. How about you unbunch your panties and take it easy? I was screwing with you. If someone had said they preferred coffee and/or cigs I would have said the same since nicotine and caffeine are drugs too.

I just consume pixels, they are enough addictive to add any other toxic substance to my body. I take them ocularly.

Only ever had alcohol.

A few beers with friends are great once in a while.

I heard norway is fun, if you want to get drunk, it will cost you a lot of money because of the high taxes on alcohol...

Hence, moonshine is a very time honored tradition. Also illegal of course, as are most things in Norway.

I've never really have had an interest in drugs, and have not been too fond of most alcohol. I didn't like beer until I was in my mid fourties. I still don't like lager btw, but strong ales are gtg. Brewing them yourself helps, it's easy and the result is so much better than anything you can buy.

But I did not enjoy the alcohol "high" at all actually, always felt unpleasant and I could not understand how some would just enjoy the glow of the alcohol just by itself.
But, when I moved to the States I finally got diagnosed with ADD and got on Adderall. In addition to being a lifesaver in general, I finally understood what the attraction of the alcohol high was. "So, this is what normal people experience, I get it now"

If you still gaslight yourself into thinking alcohol is not one of the worst drugs known to mankind you really need to wake up.
(most likely you have a problem)

That being said both go very well together if you remember to end the evening on only one of them. Start with both and then decide which one you will continue doing

Never enjoyed weed. Really really tried though. Red wine and whiskey for me. Still not a big drinker.

Ok, I wasn't going to go there, but when people are aggressively ignorant...

Alcohol is a dangerous drug in the sense that the difference between effective and lethal dose is very low compared to others.
But, alcohol has been with us since the dawn of time, there's even evidence to suggest that securing access to alcohol created civilization as we know it. We became steadfast city dwellers when we started farming to get grain and grapes for alcohol. It's foremost the sheer volume of alcohol that makes it a problem on a population basis. Everybody drinks.

Weed on the other hand is a lot more nasty than commonly believed.
The statistics from Colorado after legalization are frightening.

Alex Berenson wrote a book on it.
Berenson begins his book with an account of a conversation he had with his wife, a psychiatrist who specializes in treating mentally ill criminals. They were discussing one of the many grim cases that cross her desk—“the usual horror story, somebody who’d cut up his grandmother or set fire to his apartment.” Then his wife said something like “Of course, he was high, been smoking pot his whole life.”

Of course? I said.
Yeah, they all smoke.
Well . . . other things too, right?
Sometimes. But they all smoke.

From

Remember Ashton Sachs who after binging on pot drove from Washington to California and shot his parents and siblings. In police interviews he couldn't give a reason why he did it.

I'm pretty drunk right now and would prefer to be high. However, i thought to make a poll what other people prefer, being high/stoned or drunk/wasted.
Since the legalization makes some progress on a globally scale, it should be the right time to answer honestly ^^
Hey, there's no "both" option...
The sacred combo me and my buddies do is a very low amount of sativa; 0.1 g each (or 1/10th of a bud) smoked out of a pipe, and then craft beers (usually >6.5%) and Lucky Strikes until the night ends. We talk, discuss, debate and fight each other, and the combo fuels the mind just right.
We go on for hours on end though, so we also roast pork ribs or some rib eye roll.
None of us consume any drugs or stimulants outside of that classic night with the boys.

Alcohol is a addictive (psyche and body), mind altering substance that (unlike most other drugs) can kill you if you were to go "cold turkey"
There are no buts or ifs ... Next we are talking about water not being wet?

Building a strawman from one disturbed nut case also does not really help your cause - want to list all cases of manslaughter involving alcohol?
Just look up "most dangerous drugs rated by harm to user and others" or some such.

You need to widen your horizon a bit: it is all drugs that is why we use it - and there is nothing bad about that as long as you have a handle on things.

Irrelevant, sativa pushes energy, creativity/fantasy and the mood - its the equivalent of an antidepressant.
Indica reduces energy, makes lazy, stupid and tired - its the equivalent of a sedative.
Lower or higher thc levels only affect the strength and duration of the effects, but not the effects itself.
And I'm telling, pharmaceutics holds the exact opposite opinion in their compendium.

Used to smoke almost everyday felt like it made me lazy / numb. Especially with working I didn't feel in the right head space. Will smoke here and then but very sparingly. Good ol' beer has been my vice of choice. Find it harder to go overboard and hangover is light compared to hard spirits for me.
