Be aware the subscribers version 10, is a standalone game. All saves are not usable in this version.

From his Discord. Posted by one of the VIPs saves from 0.9 won't work, it's a standalone version. A new start will start you from the end of 0.9 though

The next one will have more content! In terms of renders this version had more than the previous ones, and more animations. The next one I promise it will be longer!

Also be aware at the end of this update there's an auto save that will save to the 1st save position, not the first available slot, but the top left in the save listing.

Also the points have been dropped, only one or two items to choices in the update. More of an VN than a game.

When it's this far in and old saves no longer work, that means a bad dev. Deleted. Glad I wasn't a patron or I'd have dropped. I always drop if it's more than 4 or 5 versions in/more than an hour or so of play and they pull that shit.

Look three posts above yours. Ep 10 - Part 2 is a "standalone". I think this is just bad English. Part 2 implies something like Season 2. So 0.1 - 0.9 is Season 1. This is my guess.

You downloaded only Ep 10. Of course you can't load old saves. The files from 0.1 - 0.9 aren't included.

Nightaku's coder needs to recode the "standalone" so that it doesn't include saves from Season 1.

Btw @ mods: You need to post the 0.9 Version in the op aka Season 1.

I like that the dev is continuing the story, but I don't like that the old saves are still there even though they don't work anymore. I don't want to lose them because I sometimes replay parts of the original version. I wish the old saves weren't written over. The new version needs to act like a new game so this doesn't happen.
