After getting baited for 7 updates and then switched with Oh Daddy with no explanation (outside former-fan-generated internet rumors and speculation) my hopes are not that high.

I usually agree with you about this stuff, but the truth is I don't have much of a problem with Oh Daddy's "transformation". Sarah looks a bit different, but I don't really see the big age change most seem to be bothered by. She still looks pretty young to me and definitely in the loli category. I liked .8 except for the huge delay in getting it. Time will tell, but I'm not nearly as down on this AVN as some others.

To me it looks like she went from 10 to 15yo. Technically that's a hebe tag, but that usually just gets grouped with a loli tag on porn sites since most count anything that's jailbait as loli (like F95 counting even bumping uglies with adopted kids as incest). Normally I wouldn't care that much but 10yo Sara was the main reason I subbed and followed Oh Daddy, and that was taken away with no explanation and was just left to speculation. If NT was a drug dealer selling uncut cocaine .8 was half baking soda and boric acid. What's even more aggravatng is 6 months of radio silence and then he has something to say only when he has a new one to sell, with no mention of why Sara got violated. I'm glad I unsubbed when I did (last Nov? I forget) and just upgraded my tier on SSP/Ketzal's sub. Hopefully more money will improve his animations over time to be on par with Oh Daddy's (the only improvement I've noticed during the whole .8 shit show).

You know, a thought just occurred to me. Maybe perhaps he sabotaged Oh Daddy on purpose so people will move on to his new one quicker? Stupid way of going about it for obvious reasons and probably not true but stranger things have been done for stupider reasons.

I thought that as well and the faster people lose interest in this game the faster they can justify abandoning it to move on to the new game and I think they were already working on the new game which is why it took so long for this update to come out.

Well, I finally got around to playing 0.8 and I seem to find myself somewhere in the middle of those who say Sara has aged 5 years and those who say she hasn't aged at all.
Sara IS taller than she was in the last update. Her tits ARE bigger than they were in the last update. But the amount of increase of both, as far as I am concerned, is consistent with the growth spurts common in kids her age.
Unlike Nicest_Incest (who I am not calling out in any way, just using his posts as an example), I always thought Sara was supposed to be around 12, not 10. While I have known 10 year olds at her (original) level of development, such is still not the norm despite all the hormones and chemical crap that gets pumped into our food, drink and general environment. (The redhead from the new project, on the other hand, looks about 10 to me.) There is a time skip of a few months. She looks like she might have grown 2-3 inches (5-8 cm) in height and gained a partial cup size (going from approximately AA to A). At this age it is common for girls to have a growth spurt and temporarily grow taller than boys their age (the boys eventually catch up and pass them, of course). Not to mention that Sara has been consuming a bit more protein than most of her peers.
My hot take is that although I preferred Sara's original look, aging her up slightly allows the game to (somewhat) reflect real life in that as much as we may not want them to, the kids in our lives will grow up and get bigger (whether or not we are fucking them - which I hope we all are not). There is plenty of other silly crap in this game to nitpick, anyway!
1) Sara seema to live in a world in which every 12 year old girl is a cock-hungry sex fiend in the making and they all talk about fucking their daddies and whoever else. In real life there would be a bunch of these daddies getting assraped in prison and a bunch of young girls in the foster care system or orphanages or wards of the state or whatever they do in Spain or wherever the dev is from. The more people know a secret, the more likely it is that the secret will escape. This is "Duh" 101, folks!
2) What the fuck kind of assclown lets his 12 year old daughter out of the house dressed like a 21 year old Instagram thot hitting the clubs? Especially if he's fucking her! He might as well brand "short-eyes" across his forehead! Even just to visit friends (who might actually get suspicious faster than random strangers). As Bugs would say, what a maroon...
3) The MC's strangely passive-aggressive stance toward sex with his lovely and horny daughter. Once you've done the crime, you may as well enjoy the ride! He really didn't resist her not-very-subtle advances very well earlier in the game and just sort of casually fell into sex with her. Which may mean he didn't really have much interest in maintaining good-dad status in the first place, but now he will sometimes (as in this update) admonish Sara about her "games" and then deprive himself of her tight little pussy (only to have her suck him off in his sleep anyway, lol). He's not really going to do any less time or have his life any less destroyed (if he gets caught) for fucking her 10 times as for fucking her 20 times, or 50 times, or 100 times, or 1000 times. Might as well be hanged for a sheep as for a lamb, as the saying goes. Fuck her every night, or more often if she's down! Why not?
4) Creampies. Of course we all love it, and many of us look forward to seeing Sara's belly swell (as hinted at in this update) but seriously, in real life, what kind of utter numskull fucks his preteen daughter without a condom and then cums inside her? Are you TRYING to go to prison? Even if she WERE 10 years old and hadn't gotten her period yet, it IS possible to fertilize her very first egg and get her pregnant BEFORE her first period! (Also, from a gameplay perspective, it would have been nice to let us have the choice, one way or the other). Although in Europe it's likely to be easier to get your daughter a quiet abortion(s) than it is here in the U.S. (especially since the fall of Roe v Wade).
5) The very lackadaisical attitude everyone seems to have about the apparently missing wife. She's been incommunicado for months and he's barely made any effort to find her! If my wife seemingly disappeared like that I'd be blowing up the cops' phones every day trying to figure out what the fuck happened to her. Just to get some closure. Is she dead? Did she run off with somebody else? Has she even been declared missing? One might think he found a satisfactory replacement, or something...
Appropriately enough, I was listening to music while playing the game and during the sleep sucking scenes, on came the song

For me "Oh Daddy" is probably ending in a few updates. The main goal Sara was "finished" now multiple times. There is still the story to be told for the missing Mom (is she cheating on the Mc or not?) and maybe we can have fun with a few new side chicks, too (Lana). But then imo it would be a good time to finish it, taking it further and further would only dragging out the game.
About the Sara changes: yes, there are some compared to the first versions. But for me these changes were already made at least in v0.7, there she already looks the same as in v0.8. Some said she is now taller. Maybe, but also she mostly wears high heals in those scenes, too.

I really don't see much of a change in v0.8 compared to the previous ones. In some renders Sara looks a little older, in others she looks a little younger. I can't tell whether this because the dev is fiddling with her model, or whether it's just the impact of perspective/lightening/her facial expressions. And yes, the plot and behaviour of the MC makes little sense, but that's been there from the beginning, too.
