I always go with default names... It feels awkward to rename characters for me.

Most of the times i stay with the default, but if the name is realy annoying or not fitting the char i go with Claire or Anne.
If her character is a Karen i stop playing the game...

Abby is my go-to name for a female protaganist.
Otherwise it varies from game to game. Like for Dating My Daughter I named her Tess. For Sunshine Love, the sister was Chloe and the cousin was Daphne.
Daphne was probably from Scooby Doo. Redheads. They're a weakness.
