Another week, another progress update!

The second Beta for Chapter 2 has now been released for all $5 and higher tier supporters and is also available on the beta branch on Steam - So if you want to give it a go, you know where to find it!

I asked for feedback regarding the last scene of this beta and so far, the feedback has been amazing. I threw some shade in there regarding a certain situation and it seems like you people catched on to that - Which is good. I'm going to do something similar on the next "day" of Chapter 2, but I kinda want to shift the narrative into two directions. First, you have the situation with Rei being Anna's cousin - Something that will make the MC question his relationship with her and that has to be talked about with Rei as well, since she has to know ( you can decide to not tell her which will lead to rather bad consequences, though ). Then you have something going on regarding Bethany and Katharina. I can't spoil too much, but the people that played the beta know what I mean - And so far only a very small amount of people guessed correctly where I'll go with this one ( I'm not going to confirm or deny anything, just that some guessed correctly ). Bethany is also the star in todays render, on the next morning she has a talk with the MC where he can open up to something if you decide to do so - Keep in mind that the relationship between those two has always been very close and the MC could always rely on Bethany to lend him a helping hand with advices or just a nice, warm hug. This day will involve some fun with Amelie as well, a girl that didn't get any solo time with the MC yet. The next beta for Chapter 2 will be ready sooner than later and I aim for a release this month again!

While I worked on the prequel, I also started to invest some more time into My New Family 2. Given the fact that the cast will be a lot bigger than the one of MNF 1, I decided to continue with my initial plan and make it so you're not going to meet all the new girls at once in the first release. They might get mentioned, but you're not going to see them. If I had to describe the game it would probably be even more "Slice of life" compared to My New Family, where you will just experience daily stuff with your household, the new tenannts and of course all the waifus. I feel like this worked well for MNF 1 and even though some might call this boring, I know that the people that played the first game would disagree. So expect a lot of more wholesome stuff, especially involving Lucy, the MC and their tennant!

I also worked some more on the main game, giving Lina and the MC some time alone to continue their talk they had in the sauna. I want to progress their relationship a little faster, but not rush it at the same time. Especially regarding the scene you had with Sarah at the end of Chapter 3, Lina learns about it and gets a little jealous. Of course she doesn't really understand how deep the relationship between Sarah and the MC really is, given the fact that Lina is kept in the dark regarding her, well, very dark past. But she will try to one up her older sister, and it will be in a cute and funny way. Gingers are crazy after all and while Lina might not be a Mueller directly, she is one at heart and it will show. I wonder if Anna knew that this would happen...

And I think thats it for now, people. We had a small holiday here in Germany ( today everything is closed ) so I didn't get to make the phonecall I wanted to my lawyer...But there is always tomorrow. If anything new comes up, you guys will hear about it firsthand, no matter what it is. Until then, stay awesome!

Another week, another progress update!

While I still have no update regarding my case, I do have an update that I will share this week regarding my decision on recreating the characters etc. The short version is that I'm going to actively seek out other developers ( or just 3d artists in general ) that have a good hand in recreating characters in DAZ3D, and try to work with them to make as faithful as possible copies of the My New Memories cast. If you know someone that is up to the task ( that person will get paid greatly for each character we can recreate ), don't hesitate to send them my way. Like I said, more on this this week in another post.

Let's talk about the games now!

I'm still working away on the next beta for Chapter 2 of the prequel and I feel like it's shaping up to be a very nice chapter in general. While girls like Rei and Lea got their spotlight a lot in the first chapter, I want to give characters like Amelie ( which you see in todays render at the university, talking to the MC ) and Jackie more love as well. Amelie in particular is going to be a fun character to write with, I think, and this interaction she has with the mc will help you decide if you want to get to know her better or not - After you helped her out of the awful situation she was in. I'm not going to throw more drama at you in that regard, I just want her and the MC to connect. Their mutual interest in music ( which she studies, as you know ) is only the beginning of something more. Amelie is just a fun character to be around with - even with her temperament sometimes. I don't know if I mentioned it yet but I feel like she is a mix of Maddie and Fiona from MNF combined with Sarah and Jessica from MNM. Interesting combination, I know.

So while the next prequel beta is going to release soon again, I also worked some more on the main game and My New Family 2. I'm still super confident that the first playable version of My New Family 2 will be released this year, which will be a somewhat special thing for me personally. I don't know if there are many sequels to adult visual novels that basically continue the household they newly got in the first game. I also worked some more on the main game but I can't spoil too much regarding that, because I just finished writing an event that means a lot to me - A very special time with Morgan and the MC, kinda like the dinner they had at that mexican place just more...Wholesome, I guess? Angel is something a lot of you want to protect and this will be an event that shows just how close her and the MC really are, something you wouldn't really think during the time the MC had amnesia.

And I think thats it for now! Like I said, I'll make another post this week where I will talk more about recreating the characters for My New Memories and what my plan is in general. If anything else comes up I'll let you guys know! Until then, stay awesome!

Another week, another progress update!

Sorry about the lack of second post last week, I wasn't really in the right mindset yet to fully write down what my current plans an thoughts are, it's something I'm always reconsidering and I'll try to explain more in the post once it goes up. Should be this week 99% and if you've been waiting for that, sorry for that! Let's talk about the games!

I made some great progress on the script and I expect it to be fully done this week so that the next beta version can come out. Todays render shows Rei in the dorms where she is living at the moment. As you remember, Rei revealed that her cousin is Anna, the love of MCs life and probably more than that. The thing is, the MC was wondering why Anna never mentioned him, his sisters or Lea towards Rei. If your cousin moves to a country she never has been before, to a city where she doesnt know anyone, wouldn't you want her to know that there are people there that will greet her with open arms? Well, the MC thinks he got an answer regarding that question. How? That is something you'll discover once you play Chapter 2. Just keep in mind that this whole situation is very new to him and he will most likely consider to tell Rei about who Anna to him is. It's going to be a decision that you'll have to make, and I'm sure you're going to make the right one, since this will decide how not only Rei, but all the other girls see you as well. Think of it like the decision if you want to have tennants with Sandra in MNF, it will basically be a line that will span throughout the whole game.

While I was working on the prequel I was also working some more on My New Family 2. Since I still haven't fully decided yet what engine I'll use, this won't stop me from writing dialogues for the game itself. There's going to be a fun event with Becca and their tennant ( yes, I also don't like to say it ), which is going to be so confusing initially because of the whole relationship between the parties involved.

I also worked some more on My New Memories Chapter 4, giving Sarah and the MC some alone time during the first night after the Mike incident. it's an interesting situation, the MC knows Sarah better than she does know herself and Sarah knows the MC better than he knows himself, so they'll both try to get the upperhand because of a certain event that happened in that night. Why did Sarah do it? Did something like that happen before? And where will this lead now that Sarah went through another extremely traumatic experience? That's something they'll talk about and the outcome will decide on how their relationship will develop.

And I think thats it for now! Sorry again that I didn't make the promised post last week, I'll promise to do better. And if anything new comes up I'll let you guys know right away! Until then, stay awesome!

Another week, another progress update!

Thank you guys for the amazing comments on the post I made earlier this morning. I don't know if you have any idea how much it means to me to read these positivite and encouraging comments, it really helps me going more than you might think, so thank you again!

Let's jump straight to the games!

I've been adding the finishing touches on the script for the third beta for My New Memories: The Beginning and I'm currently wrapping up a longer event with Katharina. As you might remember, I mentioned that her and Bethany seem to share a secret. While she is still not going to tell the MC whats going on ( since she wants Bethany to do the explaining ) she didn't forget their initial plan when the MC came over on the first day - So she is taking him out for a late afternoon brunch. They're walking through the streets and Katharina will casually drop this and that and who knows - this might end up in a very lewd scene in the end! Katharina is a very interesting character that I would compare to Mary in My New Family, just a little more "on the nose" with things, I guess. She of course knows about what happened between the MC and Lea, so she will give him a few comments on that ( apparently Lea admired his performance and it looks like Katharina wants to see if she was telling the truth? ). Still, I really enjoy writing events with her since Katharina is the classic next door housewife every young man wants to have, right? I really like the sweater she is wearing in todays render as well!

While I'm adding the final stuff to the script for the next prequel beta ( and making the renders at the same time ) I also worked some more on the main game, which funnily enough, also evolves around an older ginger lady. In this case it's Karla though, who will call the MC over since she feels a little lonely ( the twins apparently took Yukiko, Lina and Sophie hostage for some shopping in the city ). While the MC is staying over, she will talk about the lonileness she felt over these last few years, especially without the physical affection her and the MC used to share ( cuddling, hugging, all these things never stopped between the two ). You can probably guess where this is going and the MC can decide if he wants to take things further or not. Don't worry, it will be a slower start since she is still focusing on the relationships that recently started!

And thats it for now. Sorry if this is a shorter progress update than usual, but I feel like I wrote a lot of stuff yesterday! Another month, another week, another progress update!

First I want to say thank you again for all the messages and comments I received in regards of remaking the characters. I'm already in contact with someone who has done a good job in trying to recreate them - So far I'm okay with the results, since they would only act as a temporary replacement until I get my stuff back. I have something to show regarding them soon! I'm still looking for more people, of course, since the My New Memories cast is rather big.

Let's talk about the games now!

The next prequel beta will release next week, if everything goes right. I decided to put some more dialogue into an event the MC has with Amelie. Todays render is Lea in the living room, though. I feel like now that Lea and the MC have been intimate already, they want to do more things like "couples" do. Of course there is this unknown event that happened between Bethany and Katharina, or rather, they both got some news that they don't really share yet. Of course Lea, Sabrina and the MC are worried, and they still brainstorm to think what it could be about. Lea might make a heartfelt joke that could possibly contain more truth to it than everyone involved might think. Still, the two will go on a real "date" for the first time, just something relaxed and casual, where they will talk more about the special relationship that has formed between them. You probably remember that Lea asked the MC and Sabrina something in regards to what she will call them from time to time. Turns out that this goes a little deeper than we all thought. Lea will share her feelings regarding this matter and I feel like with the reveal coming at the end of this chapter, she will be very happy how things will turn out.

I also worked some more on the main game. Now that I know how I want to do things in regards of "remade" characters for the time being, I feel more motivated again to put work into scenes I haven't considered yet. I want to make a very wholesome event with Olivia, Anna and the MC, for example. The little princess was going through a lot since the MC and Anna had the accident, so they both decide to spend some time with her outside. Olivia is a character that almost everyone wants to make smile and protect, so this is something that will make her smile a lot. She is the cutest little ginger after all!

Another week, another progress update!

Before I talk about the upcoming beta, I want to say again that I appreciate it a lot that you guys seem to enjoy the renders I post every week. Be it the ones for supporters only ( which are always NSFW ) or the ones I post for every member, I really like it when you guys comment on them and seem to enjoy them in general. Thanks for that, it really gets me motivated to do more things like this!

Okay, let's talk about the games!

I'm in the rendering phase of the next beta now and I'm still doing my best to release it this week - It's going to be a bit longer than the last beta, I think, and will give some great insight into Amelie and Jackie. Jackie is also in todays render, her and the MC are in a burger place ( its actually the same one I use in My New Family, just in DAZ3D ), talking about this and that. I didn't expect so many people to connect so well with Jackie to be honest, so I'm very happy that a lot of you guys like her looks and her personality so far. I kinda want the MC and her to explore their feelings a little faster than usual, since they have been best friends for such a long time. Jackie will also drop some inside info on Lea and her connection with Anna, something that Lea kinda downplayed in Chapter 1. Why? Well, that is something she will tell the MC later on herself, but I feel like having them all connected in this special way will just show how important Anna is to all of them - And why she plays such a big role in the main game ( with appearing in MCs dreams etc. ). Still, Jackie is a very fun character to write events with, especially since she shares the being adopted part with Sarah. If you follow her dialogues you will understand why Anna and the MC did what they did when they adopted Sarah and Lina. Just in general, Jacke is a fun character to be around and a good opportunity for me to make the "Turn the best friend into a love interest" trope a reality again, just in a different scenario ( it was kinda like that with Fiona and the MC in MNF, but still very different essentially ).

While I'm rendering for the next prequel beta, I have been working a lot on the main game again as well. With the great help of Terminator22450, I have decent copies of all the main cast girls ( except Karla and the twins ). I have to adjust them some more, but I think with some work they will look a lot like the originals. Not quite the same, but good enough to try to make content with them. I'm not 100% sure if I can and will use them for chapter 4, but I might do something different, kinda like a "What happened before the car accident" mini chapter, if that makes sense? What do you guys think, would this be something you'd want to play? It could end with the MC and Anna going to the restaurant and then serve as a prologue chapter for the...Well, prolog of the main game, I guess. Tell me your thoughts in the comments or in a DM!

And I think thats it for now. I hate this radio silence we are getting from the state attorney, but fun fact, I was involved in a car accident late december 2024 and my lawyer for this case is also waiting on the case files ( I'm the victim again, by the way, but didn't get hurt or anything. Just the car totaled ). So it's not just a thing with the case where I'm being accused of something, it's just something that apparently takes forever in general. Gotta love Germany for that, I guess. Anyway, if I hear something new I'll update you guys! Until then, stay awesome!

Another week, another progress update!

As some of you have noticed I wasn't able to release the next beta for Chapter 2 of the prequel yet. I think I kinda underestimated how many renders I'll end up making, but I can at least give you the promise it will 100% release this week. I'm basically done with 80% of the renders and just have to do some tweaking on the dialogues etc. I'm really really sorry about that, I was pretty confident that I would be able to release it last week. I'll make it up to you guys somehow!

This next part of the prequel will greatly accelerate how you end up getting closer to all the potential love interests. This includes girls like Amelie ( who is in todays render walking away from the MC after they had a very long talk ) and Jackie. I feel like with Lea and Katharina having their "lewd" debut in Chapter 1, I can continue their progress in a more natural way ( especially Katharina will get a lot of fun lewd events , I knew you guys would enjoy the good old big busted ginger neighbor ! ). But back to Jackie and Amelie. Amelie is going to be a special kind of girl in that regard, since she initially doesn't show any interest in the MC becoming a potential love interest to her. This closely relates to the event you will have with her in Chapter 2, where she will reveal something regarding her past. Jackie on the other hand is easier to convince, since the jump from becoming best friends to a couple is not as big, I think. At least if you do it in a way that makes sure that the friendship will never suffer, no matter what happens ( but you know me, there are no break ups or anything like that in my games ). So the blonde devil and the light-skinned toned beauty will gets lots of love - While not excluding the big main reveal of this update, of course.

I also started to work a little with the Characters I got from Terminator, he basically tried to recreate the whole MNM Main cast, and I'm confident that with some tweaking, I can make them look a lot like the girls that are in the main game. The thing is, if I end up using them for chapter 4, replacing them with the OG models will be a pretty easy task - Basically just save the pose of the girl, load in the real model and then paste that pose on her, re-render. This is something that I will 100% do in the end, because it will only take 2 weeks or so at max, which is a time I will gladly invest once I have my stuff back to give you the original girls. Still, I also have written some more for Chapter 4 while trying to not lose my mind how long all of this is taking ( its going to be 2 years in september since the police took my stuff ). I have all things considered regarding the aftermath of all of this and once everything is done in that case, I will seek legal advice to get compensated for the damage. This is basically my lifework, and getting it taken away because of some police officer deeming it immoral is not something I will just let pass. Trust me on this.

And I feel like thats it for now, people. I apologize for not delivering in the next beta, like I said, I promise to make it up to you guys! If anything new comes up I'll let you people know as well! Stay awesome!

Another week, another progress update!

As some of you may have noticed, I finally released the 3rd Beta for Chapter 2 of the prequel. It took me longer than I wanted, mainly because I was experiencing some writers block, but I'm pretty sure that's over now and writing for the fourth Beta should not take nearly as long ( it will 100% release in August ). Currently, the beta is available for $15 and higher tier supporters, but will be made available for $5 and higher tier supporters this week. Remember, if you were a supporter during the month of June, don't hesitate to send a DM to me to get access to this beta!

So far the feedback has been good and especially the event with Amelie was a nice surprise for most of the people that played it so far. The next parts of the day will also include a pretty nice lewd event with Katharina, who is very eager to spend some time with the MC. Initially during this event she will have a more serious talk with the MC though, mainly regarding the situation that apparently unfolded between her and Bethany, or rather, after they got some interesting news the day before. She is not really happy with how the MC and Sabrina handling these things, so it will show a different side of Katharina. Still, she will return to her old self pretty fast and since she loves teasing the MC, it will be an overall fun event between those two. I feel like I can acclerate work on Chapter 2 by a lot now, since I have the events of this day already fully planned out ( Beta 3 is basically the halfway point before release, so a release of Chapter 2 is sooner than later ). Todays render is Jackie and the MC walking through the neighborhood.

I'm still doing my best to adjust the recreated models of the main girls of MNM ( Anna, Lena, Sarah, Lina, Yukiko, Sophie, Morgan and Olivia ) so they look closer to the ones you know from the main game. I'm still ways off, but I think eventually I will be able to give you guys a preview of how they look - With a side by side comparison, I guess. Then you can decide for yourself if the differences are small enough to put them into Chapter 4 or if you'd prefer me to wait until I get my things back - Which will 100% happen, like I said a dozen times by now, it's just a matter of time. I'd prefer to wait but if the majority of you amazing people are fine with the models, I wouldn't mind using them for now. I can always go back and replace them in the end once I have my stuff back - Like I said, it's not a process that will take long ( I'd say ~2-3 weeks max ).

Hello there you extremely cute and very wholesome people!

Another month, another week, another progress update!

I'm making great progress on the next beta for the prequel, with only one event left for writing! Todays render is Katharina again, this time in a store that apparently sells lingerie...Fun fact, it's the same store you also saw in My New Family, I think the MC goes there with Mary. Anyway, this will include a lewd event with the hot ginger cougar, and after that, you will have that more serious talk with her. First the fun, then work, or something like that? I'm super happy that I'm progressing faster than I initially anticipated, so the next beta might be ready in 1 1/2 weeks - So the next weekend ( not the coming one ). Changing to more and "smaller" betas was the right call. The last event of the second day will be some alone time with Sabrina, where the MC opens up about a certain dream he had the night before. After Jackie revealed a few things during the talk the MC had with her before, he will also ask Sabrina some questions regarding Anna and her family. I know what I'm writing here probably doesn't make much sense if you didn't play the first few betas of Chapter 2 yet but trust me, it will be worth it! Remember, the latest beta is available for $5 and higher tier supporters right now and already contains a good amount of Chapter 2!

I'm also making good progress on the main game ( Chapter 4 ). With the ginger twins and Karla arriving, the other household members are very happy to spend some time with them - The best opportunity for the MC to get some alone time with girls that we didn't see that often yet. Samantha, to be precise, will be visiting the MC at home, mainly to hear what happened the night before but also for other things. After all the things those two have been through, it's only natural that they might see their friendship progress into something more. Still, they will also talk about what the future might bring now that Mike has been dealt with. Don't worry, there will not be any consequences or someone else taking his place as a villain, I noticed right away that I'm not the biggest fan of these antagonists in games that last too long. In general, it will just be a serious and then more casual talk with the dark skinned beauty. And I guess the MC didn't forget that she's the sister of his best friend...So I wonder what Martin will think about it

Lastly, there is My New Family 2. Yes, I'm actively working on it and the reason I don't have much to share yet is because I'm still figuring things out. I guess you can call it a little "comeback" after I was a little mentally exhausted again while working on the prequel. Spreading my work out and still getting things done feels great and I think I found a good balance for that.

And I think thats it for now, people. If anything new comes up I'll let you guys know, we are nearing the 2 year mark since the worst thing ever happened in my life. It's thanks to you guys and your amazing support that I can continue doing what I love, even with all the setbacks. Your feedback, comments etc. make me happy to turn my computer on every day and work on these games for you!

Another week, another progress update!

I'm at the last event of the next beta now and the writing will be done today or tomorrow - and in the meantime, I'm already rendering as well. So, like I promised, the next beta for Chapter 2 of the prequel will be done way sooner than the last one - Which is very good for me personally, especially mentally. I'm always happy to deliver updates in time and it has been a long, long while since that was possible, so having the next beta ready "so soon" is good, I hope. Todays render shows sabrina in the living room, where the MC will have a longer talk with her about everything that has happened during the day - And he will also mention a special thing that happened during the night. Sabrina will reveal some things that the MC didn't know yet, or rather, that he was a little too dull to see. It's an overall wholesome event with the cute green eyed lady, and they will also talk a little bit more about how they want to progress their relationship. A lot has happened, after all...

This also leads to some things that will make more sense in the main game now. I don't want to make it so you have to know the prequel to get certain things in the main game, since the prequel is newer and not everyone wants to play it. But there will be a few inside jokes that will already start to happen in Chapter 4. It will make perfect sense even if you didn't play the prequel, but if you did play it, it will be a little funnier. We had those in the prequel already as well, so think of it like it was there. Oh, and if you remember ( I know, it has been a while ), there was a certain talk the MC had with Sarah in the elevator of the hospital. He tells Anna about it and she kinda urges him to finally do it. What exactly she means with that...Well, I guess we gotta talk to Sabines mother in the end, right?

And I feel like thats it for the moment, people. Sorry that this progress update is not as long, but I don't want to spoil too much since the beta release is soon! If I hear anything new regarding my case, then I'll let you guys know as soon as I hear it, like I promised. Until then, stay awesome!

Another week, another progress update!

Well, the script is finally fully done and I'm fully focusing on renders now. It's not going to be that many, I think ( and hope ), so I'm hopeful the next beta might be ready this weekend - I'm doing my best. I'm super happy that I needed less than a month to finish this part, but I think I can still do it faster without sacrficing content. Todays render shows Bethany and Lea during the evening. The MC had a longer talk with Sabrina before where they talk about this and that, if you remember, and now he'll talk to Bethany a little bit before it's time to go to bed. I decided to not do a similar event like I did in the last beta for the night ( if you played it you know what I mean ), so it will just be a regular night time ( with Lea and Sabrina, if you decided to go that route ). After this, I'm 2/3rd done with Chapter 2 and I think the last day will be the most eventful so far, especially in terms of "Lewd things". Still, that evening talk with Bethany will contain a lot of emotional and heartfelt moments that those two didn't share for a while, so you can look foward to that!

Speaking of the curly haired ginger lady, I decided to give her some love in Chapter 4 of the main game as well. You all remember how things turned out in Chapter 3 with her and what her and the MC did. I also mentioned that Bethany might need a little more persuasion to fully embrace her feelings. The MC is not going to pressure her ( something that will make a lot of sense if you played Chapter 2 of the prequel eventually ) and I already said that he has to convince her a little. The thing is, the MC can't keep this a secret and Bethany doesn't expect him to. With Anna being awake, she has to know...And she might want to have to say in this as well. If there is one person in the My New Memories universe that could convince Bethany a little easier, it's Anna. Those two have been as close as they can be given their relationship, so she will eventually be there to talk about it too. And who knows where this might lead...We all know she is a crazy half German half Japanese woman.

And I think thats it again for now. I'm in contact with my lawyer again and I hope to have some more news in the next few days or weeks. We have been kinda radio silent in the hopes that the state attorney might respond then, but it looks like we might have to pursue a different route ( involving something that forces them to respond in a way, I don't really know how to say it in english ). Another week, another progress update!

This week will be the 6 year Anniversary of the first ever game release from me. On August 31st 2019 I posted My New Family 0.1 on the internet and I will have my usual anniversary post coming up on that day, so stay tuned for that!

Let's talk about the games!

As some of you may have noticed, the next Beta for the prequel released yesterday for $15 and higher tier supporters. If you want to play this beta right away, you can do so if you are in the right tier and join the Discord ( I can also DM you the links, though ). This beta will be available for $5 and higher tier supporters this week, most likely on wednesday ( same might go for Steam ). So far the feedback I have gotten made me pretty happy, since most of you amazing people are still confused what the hell might have happened between Bethany and Katharina. Katharina is also in todays progress update render, where she has a more serious talk with the MC regarding something he did the day before. She is not very happy with him but also not too strict, but it's still interesting to see Katharina like that ( especially if you consider what they did before if you followed a certain path with her ). I'm already working on the next part of Chapter 2 and I'm very happy it took me less than a month to release this beta. I'll try to release the next one even faster, I'll keep you posted regarding that!

While I finished up the latest beta, I also invested some more time into My New Family 2. It's interesting for me to write stuff about MNF2 without even having finalized what kind of engine I want to use for the characters and stuff. It's still up in the air, but writing up the story is usually more difficult than coming up with renders, at least for me. I started to write a cute morning dialogue with one of the tennants and the MC, but it's nothing concrete yet. More concrete stuff is in the works for My New Memories Chapter 4 though, but that would be too much of a spoiler. Let's just say it involves Sarah in a very interesting way ( again ). That's all I'm going to say.

I also got an email from my lawyer that we are trying to get a response from the state attorney again. I asked a few AIs ( chatgpt etc ) why the state attorneys are so slow here and the most common answer is "understaffed and too much to do". I feel like that is a super weak excuse for something that happened almost 2 years ago, but okay. I'll keep you guys posted on that.

Jesus Christ...It feels like it has only been a few days since I made that post in 2024. But six years ago today, on August 31st 2019, I posted the first playable version of My New Family on the internet.

So it's going to be this kind of post. The renders for this week will follow later and it's totally fine if you don't want to continue reading from here! Thank you for being a part of this community anyway!

Well...Six years...

I'm always happy to think back. But the last anniversary was already in a pretty dire mood - the wound that my stuff has been taken from me was still fresh, at least to me. Now we have the 2nd year in a row where I still don't have anything back. Neither my beloved assets, nor any of my hardware. Not even a freakin' laptop that didn't contain anything, since it was freshly formatted. Nothing...

But I don't want to sound too depressing in this post. With the release of the prequel earlier this year and the insane amount of support of you guys, I was able to stay on track. Still, I'm wondering how much would be different if I had my stuff back. I can see it with the numbers, that they are dwindling, that less and less people stay because the game they wanted to continue to play is currently not really progressing. And again, I totally understand that. If I was on the other end I would have probably done the same. Moral support yes, financially supporting someone that can't deliver what you are here for? Maybe not so much.

But it was never about the money to me personally. I love what I started with My New Family. The game that started it all for me. From being unemployed, at the brink of poverty, to someone that is able to do this work as their main source of income. My life became better, my life has a purpose again. This might sound a little too extreme but it's true. The reason why I'm still here and didn't give up after what happened to me almost two years ago is the person reading this post right now. You people are giving me the biggest positivity I ever had in my life. I can keep going because I know there are people out there who want to read and play what I create.

So these posts are mainly for you, the players and the community. The people that were there when I released the first alpha, only to a few on the very small Discord server back then, to the person who only discovered my games yesterday. Everyone of you, no matter where you come from, if you are a pirate who never wants to pay a dime for these games, to the people that decide to support me in multiple ways, even financially, you all are amazing. Like I said, I never started to make these games for the money. I wanted to do something with my time and never would I have thought it would be the center of everything for me now.

Six years is a long, long time. So I want to use this post to not only talk about the past, but also a possible future. It's something I hinted about a few times but before I tell and show you what I mean, I want to clarify something, and I think most of you won't be happy about that.

As some of you might remember, I got some amazing help regarding the recreation of the main cast of My New Memories. The thing is...Whatever I tried, no matter which angle I looked at them or how much effort I put into them to make them look more like their originals... They just aren't the originals. That's why I think that I'm not going to use them for Chapter 4, at least for now. I know this might be super disappointing to you people but I have a different suggestion, a different approach, I guess.

I know that the prequel is liked by a lot of you and I know that some don't care about it. But with the models I have so far, I was thinking about using them in the prequel eventually... And with those models I mean Anna and Lena. Those two would make sense to appear in the prequel at one point, and I think with the changes I made to the recreation, they would "fit" in there, since I made them look younger than their originals. I will give you a comparison for Anna below.

The difference is huge, I know, especially in terms of skin color etc. But...Yeah. That is my plan. I really, really want to hear what you guys think about that, so don't hesitate to message me here, say something in the comments or talk to me on Discord!

Of course my main goal is still to get all my stuff back, especially my character assets. This is the single most important goal in my life right now, to do everything I can, no matter what it takes, to get these things back. Sadly, I'm at the mercy of the german law here, and the law is slow...Painfully slow, to be honest. Two years with no charges being pressed or a court hearing coming, getting nothing but silence from the state attorney, no matter what we do...It's frustrating. And we can't even sue them for anything yet, because the excuse right now can always be "We are heavily understaffed and there is a lot to do". I don't know how difficult it is to check an external SSD as a state attorney and say "Yes, these characters are fine and those assets are needed for work" or "No, they are not fine", so we can proceed to get a judge involved.

All in all...I'm happier than I was last year, I think. I'm still struggling a lot mentally, especially when I see the decline on every end, but it's definitely better than last year. I'm hoping and praying ( and I hope you keep me in your prayers too if you are religious ) that this situation will be solved this year eventually, so that I can get my beloved characters back. Because I think thats the main issue right now - That I love these characters so much that I can't replace them just like that. I just can't. And I'm really, really sorry for that, like I said above. This is totally only on me and I can fully understand if you're thinking "Stop being such an idiot and just use those models, we'll love them anyway!". But...I can't. And I have to live with that decision, at least for now. If it's 100% clear I'm not getting anything back then I will use them, that is a promise.

Another month, another week, another progress update!

First I want to say thank you to the insane ammounts of comments and messages I got on the 6 year anniversary post. It truly means the world to me that you guys are so understanding regarding the situation and the fact that you seem to like the idea of putting "Younger" Anna and Lena in the prequel makes me even happier. So thank you for that!

Now, let's talk about the games!

I'm still working on the next Chapter 2 beta and I'm making decent progress. In todays render you see Rei who decided to have breakfast with the MC again - I "skipped" the week of university and now the MC can spend his weekend with his favorite girls again. The situation with Rei is a special one since the MC is kinda leaning towards telling her about Anna, but not the full detail. I guess this is going to be a fine line he has to walk in general. He can tell Rei that Anna is a childhood friend, but maybe he shouldn't say how close they are? And then comes the question why Anna is not contacting Rei more often. Or maybe they talk regularly and Rei doesn't seem to mind not sharing it - I mean, why should she, it's not like she has any idea that the MC, Sabrina and Lea know her. It's all pretty mysterious but one thing I can promise you is that the outcome will be positive. That is also the case for the big reveal that is about to happen at the end of this chapter - It won't be as big as the Rei thing, but you guys will probably still say "Whoa. Cool. And fuck you for stopping there." You know I love to do these things.

I also put a decent amount of effort into Chapter 4 and MNF2 again. I really want to release the first playable version for My New Family 2 this year and the good thing is, no matter what I'll use to make the renders, it won't take long compared to the renders I have to make for MNM. Still, I owe you guys previews etc and I promise I will deliver them. The same goes for some Chapter 4 stuff, but I already talked about all of that in the anniversary post. For now the plan is to use Anna and Lena with a lot of modifications for the prequel and the other characters that an awesome dev ( Terminator ) made will be put on hold at the moment. I don't have a definitive timeframe on how long I'll wait, just that using these characters for the main game will be my absolute last straw, if everything else fails. Like I said in the post, it's a very personal decision. Still, writing on Chapter 4 goes super smooth right now and the script will most likely be done this year, which only leaves rendering open to me.

Another week, another progress update!

I'm still working away on the next update for Chapter 2 of the prequel and I feel like I'm making decent progress. Since you people were super supportive in regards of the younger Anna I made, things will become much much easier for me to write when it comes to her getting mentioned in the prequel. Of course I don't want it to be all about her, but since she always was such an important person in the life of the MC, it's good to keep her in mind. The same goes for Lea though, which is in todays progress update post! I feel like I didn't give her as much time as she deserves in Chapter 2 yet, so I'll make up for it with a very very long event that will end up with something lewd! I'm pretty happy that you guys seem to have liked Lea right from the beginning, but I feel like her being a ginger with blue eyes helped a lot with that. She shares a special connection with the MC and Sabrina, as you remember when you played Chapter 1, and after everything they experienced together recently she is even closer to both of them. Still, there are some insecurities she will try to figure out with the help of the MC. This event will be wholesome, funny and as I mentioned above, lewd!

While I was working away on Chapter 2 I was also working a lot more on My New Family 2. I probably underestimated how many of you amazing people are waiting for it to happen, I thought that most of you would say "Okay, MNF is done, MNF2 might be interesting but I don't care that much about it.", which was a false assumption from me. Especially all the people that love Lucy have been very vocal about wanting to see her and the tennant she has with the MC again ( I love those comments by the way, it shows me how attached you guys are to the little cat ). Writing is always the toughest part in the beginning so I'm happy that this is progressing nicely - I'm still not 100% decided on the engine I'll use, and I repeat what I said a few times, I'll give you guys examples and then you can decide. I'm happy with either choice in the end, since I'll probably end up enjoying in both - Honey Select 1 ( keep the christmas special in mind in terms of what MNF2 could look like ) and Honey Select 2 ( check out games like Eternum to see what HS2 looks like ).

I also worked some more on Chapter 4 but I have to admit, given the fact that the raid and seize of my equipment happened almost exactly 2 years ago gave me a little hit in terms of motivation. I'm about to send another letter to my lawyer so he can put some more pressure on the apparently under staffed State Attorney(s) of my city, in the hopes that the unrightful accusations of the investigating police officer will not fruit in her being allowed to keep all of my stuff - Like I said a few times, my game assets should have zero relevancy for what I'm being accused of.

Another week, another progress update!

I'm still working away on Chapter 2 of the prequel and I'm pretty confident to have the full release ready soon(ish). I was dealing with some real life stuff for last week so I didn't get as much work in it as I wanted, but I'm still happy with how I progressed. I finished the Rei event, for example, where the MC can decide if he wants to ( kinda ) tell her that he knows Anna or not. I would recommend you tell her, though, because keeping something like this from her will lead to problems in the end ( especially since Sabrina and Lea might mention it at one point on accident ). I started to work on a little Bethany event that will not include the big reveal, but more of a bonding time for her and the MC. I feel like Bethany didn't get that much time alone with him yet, so I'm going to change that. She will invite him out to a coffee, something that she often does ( if you remember from the main game ). Todays render is her in MCs room though, inviting him for said time! I also didn't forget to include some fun time with Lea and Jackie, so you can also look forward to that. Like usual, I try to balance it out that every girl gets a decent amount of screentime!

I also worked some more on My New Family 2, at least script wise, and I can reassure you that the game is being worked on. Given the fact that the epilogue release of MNF2 has been a long time ago, I feel like I need to amp my work speed up there, since I receive a decent amount of messages each week where people ask if I still work on MNF2 or not. I am, I can promise you that. The same goes for Chapter 4 of My New Memories, though I feel like with the huge acceptance of the remade Anna that I'll use for the prequel, my mind was put a little at ease even though it has been over 2 years that my stuff has been taken by now. Still, no matter what, I will continue to work and push game releases out, because working on My New Memories, My New Memories The Beginning and My New Family is literally what gives me a purpose in life right now, as weird as that might sound. These games still give me a reason to get up every day, just like you guys who enjoy playing them.

Another week, another progress update!

I have just a bit of information, on thursday I have an appointment with my lawyer since he got access to the case file again, so I will hear if there has been any updates etc. I'm also going to make him file another request for my SSD that contains all my DAZ3D assets and in addition, my laptop that I bought a few months before this whole fiasko happened and that didn't contain anything related to my games yet ( it was freshly installed ). I hope I will get some more information then, if and when I get my stuff back that is not needed for the court hearing that might happen to me. I will update you guys if I learn anything worth sharing.

Now, let's jump to the games!

Todays render shows Jackie in a bath towel, apparently in front of a sauna. You know I like to do these events ever since I put them in My New Family, when you enjoy the sauna for the first time with the gingers. I feel like these events are always kinda special, since the MC and the girl are naked but not in a sexual way, if that makes sense? They just sit there and talk about this and that. With Jackie it's going to be a special case, since you are able to go on a date with her and maybe explore something that goes beyond the "best friend/buddy" thing you have going with her in the beginning of the prequel. Having a date in a sauna surely seems special, and I have to think back to the main game, where the MC has a similar moment with Lina. I think this will be a good opportunity to see if I can pull something off like that again. Jackie is not as reserved as she used to be and while they both assured each other that their friendship always comes first, it's still going to be interesting to see if Jackie can deal with the fact that the MC has multiple girlfriends. Still, she looks super cute in a towel, right?

I also worked some more on the main game, but it's a pretty big spoiler so all I can say is that it involves Sarah and the MC. I think I mentioned those two having an event in a few progress updates, but if I say something like this you might already guess where I'm heading. There is such a deep connection between those two and after everything that has happened over the years, leading to Sarah saving the MCs life, things are meant to change between those two. If you want to go that way is up to you, but if you decide not to, you might break more than just one heart.

And I feel like thats it for now, people. Sorry that there is not more to talk about, but like I said above, if I learn anything worth sharing on thursday, I'll let you guys know right away! Until then, stay awesome!

As mentioned in mondays progress update, I had a talk with my lawyer today.

To keep things short and simple, there sadly isn't much new to report. Only things that have nothing to do with my assets and that I rather keep private, but my Lawyer will send in a new request to get the SSD that contains all my DAZ3D assets back and also my laptop, that never even contained anything.

As a reminder, the investigating police officer put four ( 4!!! ) sample files into her reasoning why I don't have my assets back yet. One render with Lena, a render with Olivia, render with Lina and a render with Sabrina. You know these characters and while Olivia might look on the younger side, she has not a single render in the game that is questionable. Lina, Sabrina and Lena all are adults and look like them as well, body proportions etc ( her reasoning for Lena literally said "No breast and small arms" ). This has been the reasoning since 2023 and since then, the state attorney still didn't look over it. So we hope the new request will clear these things up.

But yeah...Sadly, not much to share. I was expecting terrible news so at least that didn't happen. The waiting for this appointment was pretty stressing so I'm kinda relieved there now.

Another week, another progress update!

Since I already talked about everything that has happened thursday in a post last week, I'll just jump right into the games!

I'm still working away on the final events of the second prequel chapter and I'm making decent progress. Not as much as I hoped for, but I'm still keeping a steady pace. I decided to add in a little extra event during your time with Rei in the morning, and todays render shows something the MC has to do because of it. He's ging to the grocery store where he, to his surprise, meets Amelie. They have a quick talk and then the MC returns home with his bought goods. I still have some events to do, for example the coffee afternoon with Bethany and a longer relaxed event with Lea, but I'm very very confident that the full release of Chapter 2 will be in october. That's still way later than I anticipated and I'm sorry for that, I just hope that the content you'll get will make up for it. Ever since I started to work on the prequel I felt a lot of creativity return and I feel like it will help me regain the momentum and confidence I had two years ago, before shit hit the fan, as the saying goes.

Since I got asked this a few times again lately I wanted to say again that all the girls you meet in the prequel will eventually show up in the main game. The first one, obviously, will most likely be Rei, who will get a small mention in Chapter 4. I don't want to introduce too many new girls at once and in Chapter 4 you're already going to meet Karla and the twins, so I might safe the appearance of the first prequel girl for Chapter 5. I don't want to overpopulate my games usually and I feel like My New Memories already has a packed cast with a lot of main girls and a few side girls, so I want to make it a more "Natural" progress, kinda like I did with My New Family. The difficult thing with too many women in the game is of course that everyone has their own favorites, and if their favorite doesnt get as much time as another girl, people might be sad or disappointed. So I will do my best to make sure that this won't happen.

And I feel like thats it for now, people. Sorry that there is not that much to report and share and I'm sorry that Chapter 2 is taking longer than I initially anticipated. I deserve all the criticism and blame for that. If there is anything worth sharing in the meantime, I'll let you guys know. Until then, stay awesome!
