According to the Dev's subscribestar, he took a vacation, but has been working on the game again for a while now. He has paused subscribestar subscriptions untill the update is ready, with the ETA currently being Sep 6th (that's when subs are set to unpause).

I'm pretty sure the date was set for July some time ago, so I wouldn't be surprised if he postpones again
