hmm… idk, but i think people draw that line mostly cause of social morals n how they see motherhood as this pure, untouchable thing.

personally, i don't feel sexually attracted to family members or anything, but i like games that deal with incest themes… it's weird, but also kinda interesting. i think part of it is because it's forbidden or something.

uh… makes me wonder… like, if it weren't taboo and incest were normal, games and videos that deal with this theme wouldn't be so popular. are people curious because it's… off-limits? illegal? i don't know, something like that. lol

There's definitely more mythology related to incest specially in Ancient Greece... But even then it's considered taboo... Even in other cultures like Egyptian or Peru where royalty fuck with family to keep royalty in the same family, do have some mentions it been a taboo for common fork... But there are some (very few) ancient civilizations it was considered a norm....

i would compare it to maybe a apocalypse fantasy like the walking dead or fallout. im sure we all have thought about what we would do in zombie/nuclear apocalypse. a fun fantasy to think about from the outside, but put in the actual situation we would act very differently. In the same way the people in it aren't you but its fun to think about it when there are no stakes, just like in games and shows but would be different if it was actually you.

this is my uneducated opinion.

Yeah probably... We can only speculate... But there are real life occurrences where it really happens... Whether it's due different culture, lack of respect or lack of education..., we can only guess...

I think that's a good question and difficult to answer.

In my personal opinion, a woman in her 20's is generally speaking more attractive than a woman in her 40's.
On the other hand, a difference in age and experience can also be hot. For example, teacher-student relations, which are also taboo but less so than incest.
Power dynamics is definitely a thing, but that can also be hot.

I think there are different factors which are not necessarily directly linked to each other, but which do have some relation to each other.

Taboo is not the same as illegality, but it's similar.
Morality is not the same as legality, but it's similar.
Power dynamics is not the same as abuse, but it's similar.
Sex is not the same as procreation, but it's similar.
Etc.

I can see these things as a kind of scale, on which some areas are maybe not socially acceptable but still hot, where other areas can be quite repulsive.

And then there is, in real life, also the balance between acting on impulse vs. doing things which are a good idea in the long run.

On the other hand, if you imagine a society where any kind of sex with anyone would be freely available to everybody, would that be desirable to you?
Is, in such a society, sex still meaningful at all? Or is it like wanking off with another person's body?
In such a society, would there be a difference between fucking your own mother or some other random MILF whose name you don't even know?

I played a game that had this as its based world (minus the orphanages). I found the premise at least interesting, but the execution was very poor. Sorry, I just can't remember the name of the VN or I would share it.

Desert Stalker is a game which removes / normalizes the incest taboo very well in my opinion.
It's not as extreme as in my example though.

I think that it should be a taboo, just becasue is not normal and is something a lot of people arent okay with, but i dont think it should be illegal.
And as long as they dont procreate, is consensual and both are adults i dont see a problem in it.

Absolutely a taboo. I admit to thinking of it, but would not be able to bring myself to do so. Incest as a whole has some appeal, but i think it's just the taboo and wanting to have a harem fantasy that makes it look appealing.
