Today not one but two of the games I'm playing I got frustrated and deleted because of annoying mini games. Game 1 ask questions I only could know by searching the net. A college grad won't know.

Game 2 seems to be made by a collaboration of Hermes & flash with the QTE. I just have to ask have it happen to you a game you thought interesting you never finished because of bad mini games? Can you remember the type? Let me know.

If peeps put that stuff in RPG games, I get it, but I can't really think of a VN that's actually made better by it. It's why I just avoid sandbox games these days.

Its not just minigames, but "gameplay" in general. Often developers try to add "gameplay" like mini-games, affection points system, free roam with quests and so on to the games that do not benefit from any of this.
I think it may come from a desire to develop a "game" rather than a "visual novel". But the problem is, they staple "gameplay" on top of a visual novel structure so it becomes just a roadblock to clear, not a fun experience in of itself.
Should any of the aspiring devs read this - please think carefully if your game needs any of this stuff at all, or if your efforts would be better spent on the novel part of it.

Burn them with fire, I play these games to fap, not practice my hand eye coordination.

I think there is a major issue of trying to force something not compatible with the engine and or they lack the coding knowledge to make it so along with the right to say this update has X time in game play when it's only frustration that makes it that long

If there are mini-games in the project that are impossible to skip, I simply delete such games. Without the slightest regret. I won't remember the names of such games, they just don't stick in my memory.

Game 1 was not exactly impossible to skip but it basically kill a route it has an ==X so if you don’t get all the possible points you can't continue that route and Cheating give too many points with the same result. So you are basically forced to play that made it worse. If it was >=X I would bypass and cheat

I FUCKING HATE minigames.

Try to find available walkthrough files, usually I try to find walkthroughs on forums rather than trying to solve them

So many games that I couldn't finish. Even games with a very bad story and beautiful visuals, I deleted them without playing even a little bit after downloading them.

That doesn't work for ones where you have to click on something quickly or otherwise requires some sort of coordination, etc. Devs who put that sort of thing in are cunts.

Yes, but if it's a good game then i have to find a way to solve it to continue playing

Minigames frustrate me if they are just slapped on and clearly doesn't belong, or as you mention, if the dev just doesn't know how to make it good...
If they make sense and fit in, i don't mind. But do they ever?

I just delete those. My coordination and reaction time are WAY below average and there's no fucking way I can finish those.

I think you should try it a few times, sometimes you will feel really happy because you have completed something and not just playing a game

Minigames don't bother me, I never met one I found hard to beat even if people generally strongly complained about them. I must be some pro porn game player I guess. Many devs add skip function to these games and I think it's awesome even if I personally never used this option.

There was however one minigame that I hated, climbing the ladder in Milfy City. It was easy, however it took a long time for something that you had to do every time you wanted to go and creep on two sleeping beauties. They had like 10 scenes total and you could do one per day so you had to repeat this minigame again and again. Still, it was content originally cut from the game that I restored with patch so it is very likely minigame would be simplified or removed if it was still part of the main game.

Not all games have Walk-through
Not all Walk-through are comprehensive

Won't work. I have neurological issues with my hands, including tremors.
