Guys, can you give me a bit of encouragement. I keep hearing how good this game is, tried playing it twice but every time the (not-so-pretty to put it politely) models turned me off. Do they improve as the game progresses (as it happens with a lot of games)?
Yeah, Nef's Daz-fu definitely improves over the course of the game. It never gets to the level of
Such a Sharp Pain or other exemplars of DAZ mastery but later updates still look MUCH better than the early game.
If you're talking about the characters themselves....I'm not sure what to tell you. The appearances of Sandra (the wife) and Christine (the younger daughter) along with to a lesser extent Jennifer (the athletic purple-haired girl) are controversial among the fandom for their looks. They become fantastic characters over the course of time:
Sandra becomes an awesome cuckquean and Christine becomes a freak unleashed. And Jennifer becomes extremely devoted to the MC and can do all sorts of nifty athletic sex. Nef mostly writes for the full harem path (he originally planned at least a version where Sandra is antagonistic as well as the main path one in which
you seduce her into embracing her cuckquean tendencies and she gets off on you fucking some of the other girls (she doesn't know about the daughters yet as of the latest update but the MC was leading her down that path).
If you don't like some of the other charaters like Sarah (the voluptous redhead), Hailey (the "petite" blonde niece) or Angela (the MC's blonde sister and Hailey's mom) then I don't know what to tell you. They are all hot and all great but their looks are not redesigned or anything so if you don't like their looks now, you won't like them later. Which is different to their character development; they all get a fair amount of that, as well as lots of deep-dicking by the MC.
On an unrelated note, I was today years old when I found out that
Poser (a sort of cheap, but not free, predecessor to DAZ Studio...well, cheap in comparison to the costs of professional 3D programs like Maya) still exists (currently on version 12). I thought DAZ Studio's freeness had killed it long ago. Back in the Poser 6/7/8 days when I experimented with 3D rendering, Poser was a far superior product to the buggy and glitchy DAZ Studio of the time (I'm talking about its first releases, or at least its first free releases).
