I don't think so now. When I got it it was a combination of time since becoming a member and time on site. I got the VIP with just coins, though.

since the most replied thread in general discussions is the "Anti-Social & Lurker Hang Out Spot" with 45k replies I think most people are only commenting for the LC because the most replied thread not about LC is "What are your opinions on games made with real porn?" with only 500 replies
