discussion Lots of Tags, Good or Bad?

I would prefer to known what i am getting, so the more tags the better, as long as the tags are kept well organized.

Typically, the more tags there are the better, but only up to a certain amount. If there are so many tags that they go off the page then I'd rather not go cross-eyed trying to read them. They should also be relevant to the content. If a certain tag is only relevant for, let's say, about 10% of the content then don't include it. Maybe just give a disclaimer or something to warn people. Ultimately, tags should just be there to help people find content they like and avoid content they dislike.

I like a lot of tags, it usually means there's a huge amount of content.

Always more tags, more more more (as long as they're accurate). I also think a "*_focus" tag can be useful for titles that really explore one fetish. At least I look out for those and try them first.

I get skeptical when a game is filled with tags cause that means development attention is working on multiple routes to cater everyone's fetishes. Which is worrying for a solo indie dev

More tags, but only if those tags are actually descriptions of the game. Also not when adding tags to advertise to more people. That need to be kept strictly for player understanding on the content involved.

I will add though that i prefer games with more focussed content. So in respect to that, less tags are better. However i would still prefer more tags describing everything in the game.

I used to think the same thing but then you end up with Pandoras Box and your girl is gettin banged by ugly old dudes and pregnant by who knows?

More tags make the game more engaging I guess. Look a Warlock and Boobs for example

I prefer games with simple stories and compelling content. I usually stick with games with only a handful of tags, incest, pregnancy, etc. But many games here and on other sites have a whole paragraph of tags, listing all of the various and sundry kinks and fetishes that are included.

Do you guys like games with a variety of different tags, or do you prefer to keep things simple?

Fewer tags is unironically better. Mainly cos not much of us has the attention span enough left to read a wall of text just to figure out if the game is actually focused on what was searched for or if it's just a 1 time appearance

What i think games should do, and any platform that have tags, give a "MAIN" tag for the game, detailing the game Focus, while still allowing as much tags as you want, this way a person can search for similar games without needing to dive through the sheer amount of games that have the tag you like, but it's like one scene
