Why Unity? Renpy far better for AVNs. And yeah expect slow updates (maybe once a year or even 2 years) when no one is paying them and they are working on it when they feel like it (no pay = no pressure).

this is not an AVN. ren'py would be completely wrong for what this game does.
the progress for this game has been slow due to slow progress with art. the artist is busy with other things and communication has been slow.
they have another game, whose progress has been much faster, but the artist is someone else.

there is more demand for this game, than their other one. they used to monetize the development, but cut it off when started the move from flash to unity.
they also said already back then that they will not post version updates to the game anymore. they'll only post the complete 2.0 version once it's done.

Ah, then people should be prepared to wait not a few months, but a few years. Most games take like 5 or so when not handed out in pieces but only when completed unless you were a closed beta tester like it used to be done.

Just saying, if you want to play this just do, don't wait for an update, it's pretty much complete. They are just adding extra scenes and other quality improvements.

But as far I understood it:
- No major development steps remain.
- They are commiting to not giving any 'additional promises' - whatever that means - from here on.
- It seems they're at least hoping 2.0 to be done Q1 of next year.

- Progress updates will be given on an irregular basis.
This one's a bit weird. They're saying there will be progress updates on an 'irregular basis', but then they immediately say "No progress reports will be released until LL2.0 is completed".

So in my view this all means they're close to being done, the release might be coming some time before the summer, but they're not going to give any progress updates untill release.
To be fair, they said something similar years back when 2.0 development was in its earlier stages, because they believed they could get it done that quickly. But obviously the situation is different now, as they've actually gotten most of the work done.
That said, I would not hold my breath about a release untill maybe august - october -ish.

likely due to the game apk being too old for the current android versions.
you could try switching on developer options and then checking if third party apk's are allowed, or check other related settings.
see if there's an option to bypass compatibility locks, or an option to allow apk's from unkown sources. etc.
