With the amount of tweaks the dev is doing it will never be complete. About a year or two ago there where even a statement, that the dev is done with the basegame, but started adding additions to the church quest line. It just a matter who ask him in what way.

Eccma will be Eccma.

For anyone who is struggling with the difficulty, once you get to Noer Inn and pick your first quest, take the cemetery quest. All you have to do is kill 20 skeletons and it pays pretty well and its repeatable. Just do that quest a few times and you'll be higher level and have enough money to keep yourself supplied and move forward in the game.

A good trick to farming the quest is to use the fire spell, let the skeletons walk into it. They will catch on fire and burn to death, all you have to do is stay out of their melee range.
