Though I love lingerie, its pretty rare for them to be executed correctly and believable, as for me lingerie is more then just a layer of different paint on the skin, its the slight compression of the skin underneath (rare) or in case of meshed lingerie the slight skin cushions in between the meshes (even rarer), that make it come to life. But then again, in case of 3D, most "idealized" models come with the skin "precompressed", as if the characters would be in an invisible catsuit. So that contrast in compression (and color/tone) is what makes it appealing in real life, but is extremely hard/cumbersome to get right (both in creating/modeling and rendering), so I understand why most devs just go for nude instead, and to be honest, its more appealing than lingerie that is floating around a limb.
