Ive seen games with updates that have less content and quality that take twice as long to update, and somehow game the donation system so they do it "as a full time job". Considering the dev has released the last 6 updates every 2-5 months, and doing so consistently, I think he's showing that even with working on a second game and a irl job, that he is doing quite well.
It may not be a master tier game, but its still pretty damn good, and definitely goes in my top 20. Is it Mist, Leap of Faith, or Sorcerer (my top 3) level? Not quite in my book, but its definitely better than so many more out there. I'd probably place this around rank 11/20 on my list, with room for improvement into my top 10 if and when it gets completed.
In short, would I like more updates? Sure, who wouldn't, the dev probably would as well. Realistically though, I am happy with an even longer wait on the release time, as long as the quality and content of the release is proportional to the timeframe. ~4 months for the amount per update is reasonable, nothing has suffered from it, and the dev is doing a damn good job at their Life Juggling routine. I know I have a hard enough time just going to work and paying bills, that I couldn't imagine throwing a second job equivalent hobby in the mix.
Though @Cr8tive M3dia, As a self-entitled asshole of a fan, I will be making one demand:
Keep up the good work, and don't Abandon this project. Its got my ass invested.
