LewdCorner's New Theme Is Now In Active Beta

The next generation of LewdCorner is officially entering Active Beta.

After a complete rebuild from the ground up, the new LewdCorner theme is now available for early testing.

This isn't the old theme with some new colors thrown on top of it. The theme and the systems surrounding it have been rebuilt specifically for LewdCorner, covering the forum index, game discovery, threads, profiles, navigation, Latest Updates, reports, support tickets, ranks, account interfaces, mobile layouts, and multiple custom add-ons.

Who Has Access?

During Active Beta, access is currently available to:

• Beta Rank members
• Founding Members — User IDs 1 through 10

The Beta Rank costs $40 one-time.

It also includes permanent Members+.

This is not a subscription and you will not lose Members+ when the theme leaves beta.

Beta access is limited.

There will be a cap on the number of Beta members allowed into the testing period.

Once that cap has been reached, the Beta Rank will be disabled in the shop and no additional Beta memberships will be available unless more spots are opened later.

This is intentional. Active Beta isn't supposed to become a public release with a different name. Keeping the testing group limited makes feedback, bug reports, and fixes much easier to manage while the theme is still being actively worked on.

Why Does Beta Access Cost $40?

I want to be transparent about this instead of pretending the development behind the new theme was free.

The amount of work that went into rebuilding LewdCorner has been substantial.

This wasn't simply buying a XenForo theme, changing the logo, and calling it finished. The new theme was rebuilt around LewdCorner itself, and several systems and add-ons had to be created, rebuilt, repaired, or heavily modified alongside it.

That includes things such as the new Community Pulse, Display Studio, Supporter Lab, the new rank system, custom postbit backgrounds, improvements to Visible User Groups, redesigned forum/game discovery, thread interfaces, profiles, Latest Updates, reports, support tickets, navigation, mobile support, and considerably more.

A lot of the work associated with the theme also isn't visible at first glance. There has been extensive work put into compatibility, responsive layouts, accessibility, mobile behavior, navigation, account settings, add-on integration, packaging, testing, and making sure existing XenForo functionality continues working correctly.

The theme and the add-ons associated with it were not cheap to make.

On top of the actual development costs, I've personally put a significant amount of time into planning the redesign, going through revisions, testing pages, finding problems, fixing inconsistencies, checking add-on compatibility, testing different resolutions, and making sure the end result actually feels like LewdCorner rather than another generic XenForo skin.

The $40 Beta Rank helps offset some of those development costs while giving members who want to support LewdCorner the opportunity to use everything early and help shape the final release.

And again, you're not paying $40 for a temporary theme preview.

The Beta Rank includes permanent Members+, so that benefit remains on your account after the beta has ended.

What's New?

Completely Rebuilt LewdCorner Interface

The new theme uses a completely rebuilt dark design system made specifically around LewdCorner rather than being a recolored stock XenForo theme.

The site shell, content areas, menus, overlays, forms, buttons, navigation, account interfaces, editor, and other shared elements have all been redesigned around the same system.

New Forum & Game Discovery

The forum directory has been redesigned to make better use of available space while keeping important information immediately visible.

Game sections also receive dedicated release-card layouts with things such as:

• Thread title
• Forum/category
• Prefixes
• Tags
• Developer/author
• Cover media
• Creation/activity dates
• Replies
• Views
• Sticky/locked/featured states

Important prefixes and version/status information are visible without needing to hover over cards.

Community Pulse

A completely new native LewdCorner activity system has been built.

Community Pulse includes:

• Latest Replies
• Latest Threads
• Latest Updates
• Most Viewed
• Most Replied

Members can also control things such as:

• Result count
• Most-viewed period
• Member-only filtering
• Normal or compact rows
• Auto-refresh

The system respects XenForo's existing forum and thread viewing permissions.

Redesigned Threads & Postbits

Thread pages have received a major overhaul.

That includes:

• Compact thread headers
• Improved title and metadata layouts
• Thread ratings
• Redesigned posts
• Cleaner author information
• Improved post actions
• Better mobile post layouts
• Redesigned release metadata
• Similar Threads
• Viewing members
• Sharing
• Signatures
• Scroll controls

Opening posts and normal replies now use a more consistent presentation instead of feeling like separate systems.

Completely New Rank System

LewdCorner's rank presentation has been rebuilt into one unified system.

The theme recognizes and styles a large number of existing roles including:

• Owner
• Administrators
• Moderators
• Trial Moderators
• Uploaders
• Game Developers
• Game Modders
• Game Porters
• Game Compressors
• Advertisers
• Donators
• Premium
• Members
• Lewd
• UwU
• Prestige
• Onyx
• Godly
• Advisor
• Rare
• Archiver
• Chat
• Account-status ranks
• And others

Uploader, donor, premium, prestige, staff, and other special ranks now have their own LewdCorner presentation.

Founding Member has also been introduced for real User IDs 1 through 10.

Display Studio

Members can now customize the appearance of LewdCorner directly from their account.

Standard members can control:

• Site theme color
• Accent color
• Contrast
• Page width
• Text scale
• Top or side navigation

These settings are saved to your LewdCorner account and follow you across browsers and devices.

Supporter Lab

Eligible supporter groups receive additional Display Studio controls.

These include:

• Interface density
• Reading width
• Author-column size
• Media treatment
• Left/right sidebar
• Sticky sidebar
• Signature visibility

Access to these settings is checked server-side.

Visible User Groups Improvements

The existing Visible User Groups system has been upgraded and repaired.

Members can control which optional owned banners they want displayed while important ranks such as Premium and Donator remain visible when owned.

This applies across posts, profiles, member cards, and related areas.

Custom Postbit Backgrounds

A new controlled postbit-background system has been created.

This allows configured ranks/groups to use approved background artwork while keeping names, ranks, dates, statistics, and other postbit information readable.

Redesigned Member Profiles

Member profiles have been rebuilt into a more compact identity-focused layout.

Changes include:

• New identity header
• Improved avatar presentation
• Better rank layouts
• Responsive member statistics
• Redesigned profile tabs
• Better profile-post layouts
• Improved actions
• Better mobile behavior

Profile Audio Player

The existing profile audio-player integration has also been redesigned.

The player now has improved:

• Song title presentation
• Artist/track hierarchy
• Cover-art sizing
• Transport controls
• Playlist controls
• Volume controls
• Keyboard accessibility
• Mobile containment

Latest Updates Overhaul

Latest Updates has been visually rebuilt to integrate properly with the rest of LewdCorner while keeping the existing add-on responsible for its functionality.

Changes include:

• Redesigned cards
• Better title sizing
• Improved placeholders
• Redesigned tags and controls
• Better status badges
• Prefixes visible without hover
• Improved missing-image cards
• Redesigned filter drawer
• Improved presets
• Better sorting/category controls
• Prefix and tag interfaces
• Persistent Apply controls

The existing filters, bookmarks, sorting, presets, categories, tags, and other functionality remain intact.

Reports Redesign

The Reports area has been rebuilt into a proper moderation workbench.

Changes include:

• Cleaner report navigation
• Better Active/Closed tabs
• Improved titles
• Clearer report states
• Clearer assignee information
• Better report/comment counts
• Improved last-activity information
• Responsive mobile layout

No report data, assignments, states, or moderator permissions are changed by the theme.

Support Tickets & Support Queue

Support tickets now use a case-management style interface with:

• Compact case header
• Action rail
• Conversation timeline
• Member/ticket information
• Contained reply composer
• Responsive mobile layout
• Redesigned editor/reply surfaces

The existing support-ticket system still controls the actual ticket data, permissions, ownership, and status actions.

Better Navigation

The navigation system has been heavily rebuilt.

Desktop navigation can now automatically detect available width and move overflowing destinations into a native More menu instead of allowing the navigation to break.

Members can also switch between:

• Top navigation
• Side navigation

That preference is saved to the member's account.

Mobile navigation continues to retain the site's existing destinations.

Account & Credits Menus

The visitor/account menu has been redesigned into a more compact command panel with member identity, account metrics, actions, bookmarks, and other account tools.

The credits interface has also been updated to match the new theme.

Editor Improvements

The XenForo editor has received a complete visual overhaul with:

• Cleaner command groups
• Uniform icon sizing
• Better wrapping
• Dark dropdowns/popups
• Improved hover/focus states
• Better disabled/loading/error/success states

XenForo's actual submission behavior remains unchanged.

Watched Threads & Activity

Watched-thread and activity pages have been redesigned into cleaner, denser discussion lists while retaining native filtering, pagination, destinations, and watch/unwatch behavior.

Better Add-on Compatibility

A compatibility layer has been built into the theme to help third-party add-ons fit the new interface without replacing their actual functionality.

It covers common things such as:

• Containers
• Headers
• Footers
• Notices
• Forms
• Inputs
• Tables
• Menus
• Overlays
• Tooltips
• Member cards
• Mobile drawers
• Media overflow
• Sidebars
• Badges
• Ranks
• Audio modules

The goal is to make existing add-ons feel like part of LewdCorner without pretending their functionality belongs to the theme.

Mobile & Responsive Improvements

A significant amount of work has gone into making the new theme function properly across different screen sizes.

Testing has included widths ranging from small phone layouts through large desktop displays.

This includes improvements to:

• Mobile columns
• Touch targets
• Long titles
• Tabs
• Menus
• Sidebars
• Media
• Navigation
• Overlays
• Scrolling
• Content overflow

Accessibility & Usability

The rebuild also includes improvements such as:

• 44-pixel touch targets
• Visible keyboard focus
• Keyboard navigation
• Reduced-motion support
• Better contrast handling
• Readable accent colors
• Improved selected/disabled states
• Safer text wrapping
• Better responsive controls

Why Is It Still Beta?

Because no matter how much testing is done during development, putting something this large in front of actual users is where the weird shit gets found.

The new theme has already gone through a substantial amount of testing, but Active Beta puts it into the hands of people actually using LewdCorner normally.

That is where we're going to find the remaining edge cases.

During the beta you may still encounter:

• Visual inconsistencies
• Add-on compatibility problems
• Mobile/responsive edge cases
• Browser-specific issues
• Minor styling bugs
• Pages that still need additional polish
• Things that technically work but simply don't feel right

If you find something, please report it.

Screenshots are especially useful.

If possible, include:

• The page you were viewing
• What happened
• What you expected to happen
• Your browser
• Your device/screen size

The point of Active Beta is to find and fix those remaining issues before the new theme eventually becomes the normal LewdCorner experience.

Founding Members with User IDs 1 through 10 automatically receive access.

Thank you to everyone supporting the rebuild and helping us beat the shit out of it before everyone else gets access.

I know this is mostly for the front-end, but no information will be lost this time, right? Neither from user accounts nor from threads?

Huh, guess that means I get to do some poking around.

So far the only glitch I've spotted, is in this message box window itself.
When clicking any of these

to choose font family or anything else that is there, it "disappears" under, instead of being on top like V3 was.

I saw the new community pulse suddenly pop up a few hours ago alongside the old one and figured we were in for an update, but this is substantially more than what I would have expected. Props to you for all the hard work. Seriously.

well there goes the only thing left that i used.
down to zero things other than downloading games, viewing images, typing & reading (unless they are removed too)

Didn't we already had a paid rank which was for beta-testing? What about those?

Also, we non beta users still get to be part of it.
The forumstats got butchered.

I know it's beta and all that, and I don't know how it's supposed to look in the real theme, but there only being 3 rows visible at the same time is pretty bad. After all, you want to see it at a single glance and not have to scroll.

I agree with that
I don't mind the design, but with the old one, you could see everything much better, the font wasn't as big, and the game tags were lined up with the game itself, so you didn't have to scroll just to see ten entries. Honestly, why can't it look like this? Much better too look and navigate...

After playing with it for a while, I agree with the above. The new design looks nice but it's not as practical as the old one. Too much space is wasted on options and each item takes up too many rows. I do see an option for 'compact rows' but as far as I can tell it doesn't do anything. I just assume it's still a work in progress. 🤷‍♂️

That rank used to be available for purchase with AC; I had it, too, and I thought I still had it, but I just couldn't see it anymore.

Also, personally, I find the red tint of the entire section and the red text distracting; I'm not sure if there's a way to change that in the settings.

Honestly, why can't it look like this? Much better too look and navigate...

Maybe that would be too easy? 😁

Why is the site on constant rebuild/remake cycle? I feel like I see a post about something like this all the time, it feels like every month there's an update that can break the site and constancy/stability is never the focus.

I like it now, and with setting the visible rows option to 12, maybe if the scroll bar would allow you to go a little beyond that.

it will be possible soon, i am currently doing some other fixes with the actual theme though. (i have invited you to the beta though)

Shouldn't the Latest Updates be re-titled to Latest Game Post or something like that to not confuse with the real "Latest Updates" ????
