Is it really this easy to earn OLD AC?If the goal was to avoid inflation, I don’t think it’s a good idea to just add old coins to users without any criteria, unless they become useless. But from what I’ve read, old ranks will be restored, which makes this currency valuable again, but a new question remains: what is the point of making new ranks?
If the goal is to generate a strong and sustainable economy, having two currencies with different prices doesn't make much sense to me, as they both compete with each other. The new currency will lose value, since the old currency will have the same functionality (unlocking places inaccessible to lower ranks).
LC needs a more efficient way to burn coins, such as fees and interest (interest which LC already has, but is 0% right now). It also needs to have a limited number of coins to avoid price inflation. Fees would serve as a brake on inflation.
It would be good to implement consumable items and put fees on them. I don't know which consumable products could be implemented, however, because my creativity is low at the moment.
It makes no sense to have an economy where coins cannot be freely circulated. Creating a trading system would open the door for something else, such as transaction fees, which can vary according to need.
All the value collected from fees goes to the site's "central bank," where it is redistributed to users. If there is a shortage of coins, those in charge can choose the amount they want to add or remove from the Central Bank (but I personally like how Bitcoin works, where adding or removing doesn't exist).
With an economic system generated, we still need a good way to earn coins. Mime’s initiative is excellent, but we need more activity and that would be a "job." But of course, anyone who wants to take a shortcut can donate and keep the site alive.
If the plan is to have a stable commercial system, we need to start looking at what happens in the real economy. Leaving the site as it is, inflation will return sooner or later, and if that is the real problem, everyone will lose their coins again.
