It's not mentioned in the OP but it really should be: run the game using ktt.exe and not KronosTimeTitan.exe. The log-in system is for supporters to update the game (rather than re-downloading the whole thing whenever an update happens) and activate the supporter perks (doesn't seem like there's any content behind the paywall, just bonus powers that are basically cheats).

Although I support the challenge of using your own engine, it can't be said to have worked out in this case. The game really suffers from this. It won't even play properly on my setup.

The quest wants energy and a potion. How the fuck do you get the potion????

The game ideas, content and renders are great. It's such a shame that the game is so hard to use. Hopefully the dev can keep squishing bugs, not that it's easy to make games from scratch

I have completed up to current updates often for this game, but each time a new update drops, I go longer and longer between playthroughs. The game really takes it out of you haha.

It has some beautiful models, fun story, and the combat system is interesting but its very very grindy. You also have to restart with every update.

used to be that you could move your save file manually

kind of a pain but it cut down on the grind a bit when you did a new version

i bet it is still possible

its an rpg sort of thing

kill a bunch of weak enemies to get stronger

when you get strong kill stronger enemies and do some quests

some of the quests you have to rewind time to get them done

and unless its changed you also gotta get used to recovering from crashes all the time

i stopped playing it a while ago because if the crashes and there were just too many little updates and it was always still unstable

My answer is somewhere between YES and NO. It could be a very popular game if it weren't for this engine that everyone hates and that the developer insists on using. Maybe even in Renpy it would be very popular, and it's also easier to make a game in Renpy than in this engine, since he spends most of his time fixing bugs he himself created instead of advancing the story, giving this horrible engine a chance. Besides, this engine is full of bugs and if you have an old PC, expect everything to be slow or crashing.

Feels like this is too committed to the engine and is just tech debt at this point. Very hard to play.
