It's a pretty dumb, juvenile but fun anime, definitely worth checking out.

The main problem is that Itch was one of the only "professional" platforms for discovering and promoting adult games. Without a search system, the site is useless.

The whole Itch.io should have come to no ones surprise because of that.

But, while they are refering to australian laws, Steam could just geoblock those games, like they did with Germany and all porn games, because it doesn't have a proper age verification.
No, they are using the US Law FOSTA-SESTA, as a levage, that makes payment processors acomlices in all those stuff, when their service is used for such things.
And for them it's easier to force Steam or Itch.io.

Yeah that group is trying to remove everything. People online said they were calling for removal of GTA V, and even went after
some bakery that had something like "For The Best Buns In Town" and that group was saying it was misogynistic
against women, it's a bakery for Pete's sake! There was another incident where playboy unveiled some kind of
clothing in Australia, they had a fit over that too.

I keep saying if you don't like something, then just avoid whatever it is, I don't like games with scat, but
I'm not going to start a rally of ban the scat games from LC or 9-5 etc. I just will avoid playing them.
I don't like liver and onions, but it doesn't mean I'm going to start a "Let's Ban Liver And Onions" group
on X and try to get them banned from society, I simply will choose not to eat them.

But as soon as some Karen gets offended, then it's time to ban whatever it is that offended them,
and then comes more asshole Karens ready to jump onboard the let's ban ship.

I'll say this, if you see something online that you like, you better get it before it's gone,
whether it's videos from that certain youtube channel you really like, or songs on that
website from that one band, or those porn videos games etc. Because it never fails
when you like something online, it's one day gone. Civitai updated their TOS in April
saying XYZ content is no longer allowed here, while it is just a few small things,
once that starts it opens a Pandora's box of more to come.

Because this is not just about NSFW. It's about the fact that some group can just use pressure to force bigger companies to their ideas.
And this is one of those harsh warning signs that something has to be done, or it will be too late. Those groups will only get more cocky otherwise. Remember how everybody just went "it's a shame" and "thoughts and prayers" when CollectiveSh*ut managed to ban GTA from Australia, this is the proof that their pushings can affect everybody, even outside of Australia.

Here's some hope for the future of NSFW games that I learned growing up in the 80s and 90s. Censorship breeds innovation. Video cassette tapes became affordable and popular because of cities cracking down on adult theaters, peep shows and strip clubs. High speed internet and streaming video partially exists because of video rental places like Blockbuster taking over the video rental industry and banning porn. A good amount of tech innovations happened because of porn being banned or censored in one way or another. It's not something that's really taught but it's the truth. Even if the ban stays something will come up very soon to fix the problem. It always has and it always will.
