Phones in general has become to expensive imo, but nothing beats Apple..when it comes to overpriced! They haven't been the best phones/OS since 2012 or so.

Only if you're upgrading from something older apple, say like iPhone 7 or older. TBH a 14 would be sufficient for most people if not the 13. I know a lot of people dislike Apple, but it's easier to setup for the older folks and maintain because stuff just works and the app store is tightly controlled. Android does offer more freedom, but I've not had great experiences early on with the first razer droid phones. All in all, if you're already part of an Apple ecosystem, it might not be a bad idea if you're running something older. But if you don't have that much apple stuff, I'd say the only other reason would be if your close friend group all have iPhones for compatibility with activities. Android will offer more privacy and freedom in the long run however.
