We don't know if they are donating or not, since I believe it is manually updated, I might be wrong there though. But look. your a business person I believe, so you understand very well why LC members might be holding on to their money atm. But for fun and hopefully Heisenburg reads this I'll lay it out for you. (Edit: I see he is watching this thread since he's replied to you while I was writing this).
# The uncertainty about currently hanging over LC. Purely and simply, you don't put money in to a sinking ship, unless, you know that it's going to stay afloat financially, and to be fair atm LC has nothing but sticking their hand out and shaking the donation bowl to achieve that. After retiring from Wow (which I played for far to many years) I started playing a game called Clash of Clans (again for far to many years) now they knew how to make money, and that was by selling the little things to those of us playing the game, and lessons can be learnt there that transfer to LC. How many times have I read "Oh, I didn't want the content, just the shiny badge" or the pretty profile or the scary red message text. Get the bloody shop in order, sell these things and 20 other items I can think of without even trying. At a very reasonable price, the idea that CoC had was to sell one of everything to every player. In our case to sell one of everything to our members that want the nice shiny things, and lets be honest here, who doesn't want them, I know I do. Get the shop working as a shop should work!
# I've been mentally kicking all month whoever throught advertising the ranks in the donation tracker was a good idea. The ranks have to go Heisenburg its as simple as that! They are a money drain, causing far to much stress. and should never have been introduced in the first place. All the forums problems lead back to them, its as simple as that. I'll throw you a lifeline though Members + needs to stay, it can be a money maker be it a small but consistent one and it also encourages new members to participate in the community, and best of all it costs you zip, zero to have, unlike the other shit. Edit: and yes I know dropping them will cause problems, but keeping them means LC dies, would you rather have a good chance of keeping the community alive or killing it, and that statement includes all of you the have P1 - P6. Im hoping you want to keep our community going.
