It doesn't die, it commits suicide in installments.
This is further illustrated by one of the owners' apparent ban against the other and his alleged removal from the front page of the website.
You can't make a clown show the main attraction of a circus, otherwise the whole business will degenerate into a laughing stock where the real attractions from the Artists go unnoticed.
Over the last few days, we've consistently had more guests than members on the site watching the show here.
That would have been the chance to turn things around and set a new course.
P.T. Barnum once said, “There's no such thing as bad publicity,” and Oscar Wilde meant that “bad publicity is better than no publicity”.
I doubt that this really inspires confidence to attract new members, among whom there would certainly have been donors.
And as things stand at present, this is unlikely to change in the near future.
But which of the points in the feedback thread by Guz have been addressed or even implemented so far?
I also remember it being said that LC could be sold, but that the price would not be lowered.
However, the final statement on the matter was, “no one can buy LC off me and no one will buy LC off me”.
It remains to be seen whether this statement will change again because it is no longer tenable.
LC has come a long way, and it has taken a lot of hard work and great commitment by many people, but the higher you climb, the harder you fall.

I’m on vacation, so as for stuff being fixed not really sure. (From lc irl job)
Well in the defense of mods they don't even know whats going on at times, and have been blind-sided by various changes.
They use discord to get what orders the admin gives them then bam guess what the Admin changes his mind.
Read the last few threads in the support section that haven't been deleted.
As the thread, it should stay on topic, as for the topic i have no input as a Staff member, i could say my own personally opinion however some will see that as a "staff stance" vs my own personal opinion, so i try not to reply to such things as i don't want my opinion and the opinion of staff getting confused.

Personally, and I'm sure many feel the same way, I don't give a shit if it is your personal opinion in fact its probably your personal opinion that matters the most.
We understand most of the staff, if not all, are volunteers and as blind as us.
State at the top of your post that it's your Personal Opinion Only, and tell us what you feel in your bones about the questions I've asked.

Well, this act didn't play for long as only 2 or 3 days later Heisenberg announced that he is unbanned. As for if LC is dying or not, there are mainly two things that concern me right now. First one is this:

So I am not surprised he is done, especially after he said once that he never intended for this site to be non-profit, this message no longer exists because some channels are cleared regularly.
Second thing that concerns me is what was said about P5:
That means if LC struggled earlier, now it will be on a whole new level. P5 was supposed to be shut down on 15.09, but Kavinsky changed his mind and he decided that instead killing his baby instantly he will just starve it.
If both things are true, I see little hope for LC surviving.

Now, to be more helpful, we're experiencing a porn purge that's only gonna get bigger.
LC will fall... then 95... then pornhub.
Over years or decades? I dunno.
Then WAY after I'm dead as well, the wheel will turn and it'll all come back in fashion.
Until then, expect to soon have to scrounge for any kind of adult content for a generation or 3.
Total bullshit mental crystal ball says 1.5 years for LC as a functional site, then 3 years of "in name only" before shutdown.

i Think my opinion is like most, its uncertain ATM, there many factors to consider such as funding (donations) the crack down on pixels etc, its hard to say ATM as things recently have been changing are lot. i could say no but if all donation cease that would change to a yes its shutting down as servers cost money, or a new law could come out that would make it nearly impossible to even host such a site. we are in uncertain times and anything can change tomorrow.
i will however say i do believe we still offer something that no other site does game/games+ sure theres 95 with games but they have no games+, sures there other sites that have "games+" but they don't have "games" we are one of the very few (if only) site that offers both. and it would be shame to lose such a place IMHO

I so like Guz, him and especially his mini acct have kept LC alive for me over the last 12 months. I can only imagine the work he puts in the background.

Thanks Shawn, yes, your points are all valid, the site needs those of us holding off donating to donate.
And most of us need to see the money members are giving, benefiting us and spent wisely. We have not seen that yet.
The one thing most of us are her for, the latest update page is still shit and you can bet your bottom dollar, most of us don't care about themes and the site looking pretty, we just want our games.

Even if it had only been an hour, it would have been one too much.
You've probably seen what kind of posts this uncertainty has led to.
Even long-standing members cannot agree on whether it was just a show or real, myself included.
Does Lord Drakkon really exist, or is he just an alter ego?
Is Heisenberg using Drakkon's account to post?
Was it all just staged to appease the community and buy time?
These are all questions that remain unanswered and will likely remain so, and none of them inspire confidence, either in old or new members.

About if is was show or real, it was both. Heisenberg knew he did not have enough willpower to step aside if he has an active account so he gave permission and asked Drakkon to ban him. Why is he back so soon then? Heisenberg had unread messages (7 at the time) and he couldn't read them while banned so... that's it.

About Drakkon being an alter ego - I can't rule that out. Their dynamic is weird and they both tend to overreact the same way. Also, there is this:

About appeasing community, I don't think that's the reason. I think the reason is Heisenberg is stuck in the endless loop of "LC will exist for as long as I breathe" and "LC brings only loses and community is ungrateful, I'm out".

Its basically a log of where alot of your money has gone, and we won't talk about girlfriends vet bills, covering breakup costs on the sly, and so much more. I see it as your money having being flushed down the loo.
Seriously what is wrong with the Old Latest Updates Page?
It is simple, easy, and takes us where we want to go, and most of all it works.
Why for the love of everything that is sane, invest so much money and time into the New Latest Update page?
A page that has been a money and time drain, and to this day still doesn't funtion properly, it's not user friendly, stop throwing money at it.
If we are going to survive going forward, then we need to go back to basics.
There's a saying, everyone knows it. Dont fix what's not broken!
And ranks, do members really want ranks as such. Most of the feedback I've read would suggest most just want a shiny badge under their name or pretty profiles and messages. You don't need to spend time and money on ranks, just put shiny things in the shop that members can buy for donation coins, at a reasonable price. Don't try and milk the members.
Once again I'll say it, if we are going to survive as a community here on LC, and have the money to fund it, then the thinking and wasteful spending needs to change. Heisenburg/Lord Drakkon need to encourage those of us that a willing to support the community financially but won't under the current environment to do so. Stop wasting donated money, give me a shiny badge in the shop, if it's at a reasonable price or I can get it by slowly buying donation coins, I'm very likely to do it, and add a $5 donation to the donation tab, it all helps, right?

honestly i have seen games on this forum that i have not been able to find other places and some of them are not updated but they still have a good solid release of the game up. Thats one of the things i like about it here. i would recommend though a few minor things even though i have not been here long. I would suggest having a counter on the main page or somewhere accessible to the community to see how much has been donated towards the costs of running and maintaining the site. does not even need to be on main page but have it to where it auto updates maybe as im sure a lot of people would still donate when they can even if its already reached the running cost for the site although i have yet to donate to the site yet due to financial issues currently.
