Is it worth to pay for 50 credits to have a tiny little chance for winning the 2000 credits

I was once told "the lottery is a tax on those bad at math" I think that applies here too.

I don't think playing the lottery is worth it, but then I'm not a gambler.

well it depends on why and how much you play it... if your retirement plans hinge on it then you have misused your earning throughout your life. but for me? its mostly a daydream machine. I budget$5 a month (locally my tickets are $2 for powerball and megamillions, the extra dollar goes to the higher pot for wild card purposes) I may play more than once a month if there is an extraordinary pot but there are more months I don't do it. say $60 or so per year for daydreams its good entertainment. One thing I never do is buy more than one of the same kind of ticket.... when you buy a ticket you are betting its a winner, if you buy a second ticket you are saying " no that first ticket is wrong THIS is the winning ticket" (yeah you say but it improves your odds? winning a big drawing is like getting hit by lightning 5 times consecutively, so you but a couple dozen tickets? well with how odds and averages happen aren't linear now you only have to get hit by lightning once) so its the same entertainment value one or one hundred tickets but one lets you keep more money in your pocket.
